RINGER’S SAFETY WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM – FALL PROTECTION, CONFINED SPACE ENTRY & RESCUE TRAINING
Part of our Workforce Development Program had our students complete a full spectrum of safety training — from the classroom to real hands-on rescue scenarios.
This wasn’t just “take a course and go home.”
This was real skill development in three critical areas:
1️⃣ Fall Protection – Practical, Hands-On Learning
Students trained in, but not limited to:
🔸 Proper harness fitting
🔸 Equipment inspection
🔸 Understanding lanyards, SRLs, ropes & anchors
🔸 Suspension practice using the tripod system
🔸 Controlled lift & descent
🔸 Working calmly under pressure with proper mindset
🔸 Calculating Required Clearances, including the use of specialty equipment
🔸 Self Rescue, Non Entry Rescue, and Entry Rescue
🔸 SRL's Type one, Type 2, and Type 3
🔸 Rope Grab and other specialty equipment
They didn’t just learn what fall protection is — they learned how to use it, trust it, and respect it.
2️⃣ Confined Space Entry – Permits, Controls & Hazard Awareness
Students completed:
🔸 Confined space entry permit procedures
🔸 Atmospheric testing protocols
🔸 General and Local Ventilation and hazard controls
🔸 Communication requirements
🔸 Role assignments (entrant, attendant, supervisor)
🔸 Understanding how to prevent incidents before they start
🔸 SABA Training
🔸 RPE Training
🔸 LOTO Training
🔸 GHA Training
🔸 First Aid Training
🔸 Haz Mat Training
Confined space work is unforgiving — you must know the rules, the paperwork, the hazards, and the mindset.
3️⃣ Rescue Readiness Self Rescue, Non Entry Rescue, and Entry Rescue – Working as a Team
Our students practiced:
🔸 Controlled pulls
🔸 Lifting and lowering techniques
🔸 Using the tripod for confined space rescue
🔸 Spotting, communication, and teamwork
Real rescue isn’t clean or easy — but last week, they learned how to stay calm, coordinated, and controlled.
The Result?
A group of individuals who now understand that safety is control:
control of your equipment,
control of your environment,
control of your mindset,
and control of your ability to protect yourself and others.
Proud of their effort.
Proud of their growth.
These skills save lives.
