We’re proud to be part of something meaningful 💛 In collaboration with Holland Bloorview, SMILE Therapy for Kids provided a portion of the training for a study on exoskeleton-assisted physiotherapy for children with cerebral palsy. This learning, guided by Jo-Anne Weltman-Owner of SMILE Therapy for Kids and Co-Founder of DMI Therapy - helped Holland Bloorview researchers in the development of the physiotherapy program for their study.

A special thank you to Jenny, Ashley, and Meghan, who provided the Trexo session shadowing opportunities for the study PTs at Holland Bloorview.

What makes SMILE Therapy For Kids a special place to attend regular therapy sessions and therapy intensives? At SMILE Therapy we recognize that each child needs an individual approach to their treatment plan. We also emphasize that all areas of development need to be addressed to allow a child to develop to their own potential.

Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Chiropractic and more. Our team is well-educated in orthopedic and neurological development, sensory integration therapy, visual and vestibular concerns, cortical visual impairment, feeding delays and concerns, augmentative and alternative communication, and fine motor development. We continue to study, research, and connect with international specialists in these areas and are interested in neuroplasticity and how we can best help each child we see.

We’re proud to be part of something meaningful 💙 SMILE Therapy for Kids supported training for a study on exoskeleton-assisted physiotherapy for children with cerebral palsy, working alongside Holland Bloorview. Jo-Anne Weltman, Owner of SMILE Therapy for Kids and Co-Founder of DMI Therapy, helped guide researchers in setting up the program.

A special thank you to Jenny, Ashley, and Meghan, who worked closely with the PTs at Holland Bloorview to teach them how to properly set up and use the Trexo system.
