Anemic individuals have a number of options to get the condition under control. Oral medicine is usually the first option, and the most attractive due to the ease of taking pills. Intravenous therapy is preferred when a person requires more iron than oral intake allows, or if their body has difficulty absorbing iron tablets.

IRON DEFICIENCY ANEMIA STUDY
Location: Thornhill
Study Medication: Ferumoxytol
Study Details: This trial is 7 weeks in length. The first two weeks are for screening and the following five weeks are for treatment and follow-up. Screening visits will last approximately an hour while treatment visits can last up to two hours.
Eligibility Criteria:
Males and Females 18 and over.
