❤️Love Your Heart: 5 Quick Tips from Your Pharmacist.

Your heart works very hard every day- here are 5 simple ways to support it:

1. Know your numbers
Regularly monitor your blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar. Stop by the pharmacy for a quick blood pressure check if you’re unsure of your current levels.

2. Move More
Aim for 150 minutes of moderate activity each week (about 20 to 30 minutes a day). Even a brisk 10 minute walk makes a difference.

3. Choose Heart Healthy Foods
Focus on fiber, rich fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Try substituting red meat with fish once a week for beneficial omega-3‘s.

4. Manage Stress and Sleep
Prioritize 7 to 9 hours of quality sleep and practice relaxation techniques like deep breathing or meditation to keep your heart at ease.

5. Be Consistent with Meds
If you take medication for blood pressure or cholesterol consistency is key use a pill organizer or phone alert alerts to stay on track.
