This week, we recognize Neurodiversity Celebration Week, a time to celebrate the unique strengths and perspectives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and those with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), dyslexia and other neurological differences.

At Bethesda, we believe neurodiversity is something to be valued. By embracing a strengths-based, person-centred approach, we support children, youth and adults in building on their abilities, pursuing their goals and living meaningful lives.

It’s also an opportunity to challenge stereotypes, foster understanding and continue building communities where everyone is included, respected and supported.

Together, we move beyond awareness and toward meaningful inclusion. 💙

Celebrating 5 years of service with Kailey Cheropita! Kailey joined Bethesda after discovering our mission, vision and values while exploring new career opportunities. Last week, Bethesda partnered with Niagara College to host Beyond Awareness: Experiential Learning for Inclusive Support, bringing together professionals from across the sector for a day of hands-on learning and connection.

Through immersive activities and discussions on topics such as autism, mental health, geriatric care, bariatric care, and staff wellness, participants explored new ways to strengthen inclusive, person-centred support.

We’re proud to help create opportunities like this that bring organizations together to learn from one another and continue building more inclusive communities.
