We’re excited to announce a new partnership between KO eHealth’s TeleOphthalmology Program and Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada!

This collaboration will help expand access to diabetic retinal screening and vision care support for people living in our Northern First Nation communities. By working together, we can strengthen early detection of eye disease, support timely referrals, and help community members access rehabilitation services that maintain independence and quality of life.

Through teleophthalmology, patients can receive retinal screening right in their home community, reducing the need for travel while ensuring they receive the care they need to protect their vision.

We look forward to working together to support healthier communities and better vision care across the North.

Part of KO Home and Community Care team was proud to attend the Annual Northern Ontario Home and Community Care Conference this week!

This year’s theme, “Bringing Care Home: Taking Care of Our Own,” truly resonated with our team and the work we do every day in our communities. It was a wonderful opportunity for learning, connecting with colleagues from across the North, and reflecting on how we can continue to strengthen the care and support we provide.
