KO eHealth & KNet have touched down in Webequie First Nation for our first community engagement of Phase 5 Implementation bringing Virtual Emergency Support Services to the Matawa communities.

This is a vital step toward improving access to emergency healthcare for our remote First Nation communities.

A big thank you to the community of Webequie for your warm hospitality! We look forward to continuing our partnership and working together to provide accessible, quality healthcare across our northern communities. 💻💙🏥

Day Two of CTC Training:

Today was full of learning. We covered key topics like confidentiality, policies, and procedures, and got hands-on with our exciting new iPads, which will be used in communities to support telemedicine appointments from the comfort of home. 💻🏡

We also received a briefing on the Virtual Emergency Services Program, currently offered in 18 of our First Nation communities, a vital resource increasing access to urgent care in remote areas.

Everyone received certificates for their participation, and of course, there were some cuddles with our mascot, Stevie the Turtle. 🐢💚

Tomorrow, we move on to our final day of training, excited to finish strong and carry these tools forward into our communities!

The team had a great first day filled with learning, laughs, and connection. After a full day of training, we headed out to cheer on the local hockey team, The Red Lake Miners, because a little fun is always part of the plan! 🏒✨

Our amazing CTCs:
- Keresia Beaver, Nibinamik First Nation
- Teddy Meekis, Deer Lake First Nation
- Mason Clancy, Muskrat Dam First Nation
- Jeffrey Albany, Wapakeka First Nation
- Annie King, Pikangikum First Nation
- Eunice Ombash, Cat Lake First Nation
& some of the KO eHealth staff & family!
