HAEPI Holidays from the HAEPI team! šŸŽ„ We are wishing everyone a safe and fun holiday season, and looking forward to what 2026 has to bring. 2026 will sure look different with my (Halleā€™s) baby arriving in January, but we are so blessed to have this solid team to keep things going!

2025 brought fly-in services with 2 Northern Communities, the addition of Social Work Services, and partnerships with surrounding communities and we are excited to continue with these initiatives in 2026!

Special shout-out to our other 3 team members (Zac, Midori, & Akayla) who werenā€™t able to make it this weekend! And big thanks to Karly at for the amazing workshop - definitely be sure to check her out! šŸ’

Biggest congratulations to our team members, Midori & Kaelyn, for heading back to school to pursue their Graduate Studies! šŸ’«

Midori will be studying her Masterā€™s in Speech-Language Pathology, and Kaelyn will be pursuing her Masterā€™s in Music Therapy with Psychotherapy! šŸ—£ļøšŸŽ¶

While we will miss their work in Thunder Bay, Midori will be offering limited in-person services in Kenora, Ontario, while studying, and Kaelyn has some virtual availability for clients across Ontario.

We could not be more proud of our team members, & excited to see the things that they will accomplish in their respective fields!

We are so excited to introduce you to Madison Hughes, Registered Social Worker, who is joining our team in July! Madison offers counselling/psychotherapy to children, youth, and adults from a neurodiversity-affirming lens. Madison is honoured with the spirit name ā€˜White Starā€™ and belongs to the Eagle Clan. Madison blends traditional & cultural teachings in Indigegogy as well as mainstream clinical approaches in her practice. Madison is currently writing a childrenā€™s book about autism and neurodiversity to honour her autistic son (we canā€™t wait until it comes out!!) Madison brings a wealth of knowledge and perspectives to support children & adults. Madison provides in-person services in her office space in Thunder Bay, as well as virtual services across Ontario (home sessions available upon request). We are thrilled to announce we are now offering in-person Speech-Language Pathology services in Kenora, ON! We have a lovely Communicative Disorders Assistant returning to Kenora while pursuing her Masterā€™s (online!) in Speech-Language Pathology, and she is so excited to support her hometown while studying to be an SLP! Assessments will be completed either in-person or virtually with a registered SLP, and conducted by our CDA who has extensive experience in AAC, speech, & language. We canā€™t wait to see you, Kenora! ā›µļøšŸŸ

My face when I realized Iā€™ve become a fly-in therapist againā€¦.

After leaving my fly-in position to work full-time for HAEPI, I didnā€™t know if Iā€™d fly to a remote community for speech therapy again. Surely, not with my own business! 7 months later, weā€™ve secured our first contact (this whole thing happened within 48 hours btw). And I couldnā€™t be more excited! āœˆļø
