We will be at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre tomorrow from 11-1PM in front of the Gift Shop!

Community partners offering mental health and addictions support will be onsite at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on the third Wednesday of each month to share information about their programs, including referral processes and access to services.

On Wednesday, March 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Beendigen will host a table in front of the Seasons Gift Shop. Thunder Bay Counselling will be located at the bottom of the Grand Staircase on the Cafeteria level. Representatives from both programs will be available to answer questions and provide additional information about their services.

Yesterday the PAL & Wiidookaw Programs kicked off March Break by braving the cold for a few loops of snowshoeing around our Golf Links location, along with making bird feeders! ❄️ ⛄️ 🐦

Beendigen and Shelter House are hosting a walk, vigil, and feast again this year on May 5th in honour of Red Dress Day. Please join us at 3PM at the Marina for the opening ceremony, walk, and the feast after at the Baggage Building Art Centre (beside the Skate Park).

Today we held our annual Wi Na Wenjikaazo Anti-Human Trafficking conference with partner agency . Every year, this conference allows the public & service providers to learn more about how human trafficking operates and the signs of a potential trafficking situation.

We were honoured to be joined by guest speakers Jolene Heida, a PhD candidate and a seasoned trauma therapist, and Alexandria Cockerell, a survivor of human trafficking.

Thank you to both of our guest speakers and our Elders - Lily Chouinard who helped us make beautiful Kokum Dolls and Linda Barkman, who is known for her kind heart and gentle spirit!
