Every December 1st, a line of cars forms on N. Syndicate Ave.

Since 2007, Jayme Hill’s Listen to the Lights has dazzled families with 8,400 LEDs dancing in perfect sync to the music. It's an impressive production right in his front yard! But behind the magic is a story of the heart.

After surviving two serious cardiac events – including a 100% blockage – Jayme received lifesaving care right here in Thunder Bay. Care that kept him here for his family, and let him keep creating joy for ours. ❤️

So, he turned his wildly addictive hobby into something even brighter for future cardiac patients.

When a heart is too weak to pump on its own, having the right equipment can mean the difference between life and loss.

Because of donors, event participants and raffle supports, the Hospital's Cardiac Program now has a new Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) with the latest technology.

This specialized equipment helps support the heart, stabilize patients, and give doctors precious time when it matters most.

Your generosity ensures people in Thunder Bay and across Northwestern Ontario have access to advanced, life-saving cardiac care close to home. Thank you. ❤️

After surviving a widowmaker heart attack, Frank was forced to travel to Southern Ontario multiple times for care.

"If we'd had cardiac surgery here in Thunder Bay they would have found the blockage right away and potentially been able to save a good portion of my left ventricle." he says.

No patient should have to leave their community, support system, and home at such a critical moment.
