Let’s talk a little bit more about why I started my business (what I’ve notice people struggle with and why it matters to me). I started Naturally Grounded back in 2010 when I first got certified for Reiki. I didn’t do it full time or realize all that I wanted it to become at first, I just wanted to help people and needed help myself. I was becoming a social worker at the time and found a Reiki course mostly because I was looking for something to help me with my mental health illnesses and physical health struggles and from there all of my personal experiences, education and professional experiences all added up to me finding my way to figuring out my purpose - which is to help people find connection & support and learn that it’s OK to have an express emotions and to be supported through them. I needed validation, co regulation and community so that’s what I wanna create.

It’s now a passion and mission of mine to help people find calm, regulate their nervous system and emotions, feel seen & be held in a figurative sense through different modalities of healing 😌

This Full Worm Moon is a time to reflect on personal growth, plant new seeds as the Earth begins to thaw. The awakening of the worms as the ground softens allows us to feel more stable in our environments. With the lunar eclipse at the same time it’s the perfect opportunity to renew and transform. Release old habits and manifest future aspirations. Try to awaken the world around you and ground yourself by doing things like spring cleaning and preparing to run with the year of the horse 🥰

I have lived with chronic illnesses for a majority of my life, and have been in and out of hospital since I was a kid for both my sister and myself. Though I have gotten a lot of treatments and supports with westernized medicine, I also love to see how other countries and parts of the world treat things. The fact is, when you have chronic illnesses, you tend to get to a spot of desperation where you will try literally anything to help yourself feel better. It was by getting to that spot, that I was able to try so many things which led me to finding which ones I most resonated with and which ones I was most passionate about. Shout out to all my chronic illness warriors out there- it’s not easy living in this society and having a disease and just know I see you & fee you!

Some of my fave stopping things:
• watching a mindless show (not interesting, something you’ve watched before, sitcom usually best)
• guided meditations (guided means you’re not thinking about what to create you’re listening)
• sound meditations /sound baths (you literally just be as the vibrations actually stop your thoughts)
• a calming treatment with NO chatting lol
• ASMR videos
• napping (literally rest & digest)
• lay on the floor and do nothing at all

Consistency isn’t flashy… but it’s where the real shifts happen 🤍

One sound bath can feel beautiful, grounding, even deeply moving and that matters.
But when you come back again and again, something deeper begins to unfold.

Your nervous system starts to recognize safety. Your body learns how to soften more easily.You build resilience, self-trust, and a steadier connection to yourself and not just for an hour, but in your everyday life.

This work is gentle.
It’s layered.
And it grows through repetition, presence, and small moments of showing up for yourself.
