A great end to our 8 week ‘Train to Run 5k” series and a fabulous start to the holidays with a Santa Run last night in beautiful Amherstburg! 🎅

If you are interested in a learn to run program stay tuned as we will be offering another one in the Spring! 🏃‍♀️

You will have two coaches to guide and support you along the way and can complete weekly group runs with us or do the program all on your own! 👍

Good morning! November is just FLYING right by as we are entering the second half of it next week.

We have 5 AMAZING days of classes ahead at three different locations!!

Please NOTE if you are booking a Just Move location you must register, buy a pass and book a class through the website: https://just-move.ca/ and yesterday I emailed out a discount code for your first class (the free week ones don't count).

All OTHER classes continue to be booked through my website at: https://gaudetfitnesssolutions.punchpass.com/classes

ALSO Cheryl is in the building on Monday night at 7 pm for YOGA and this is her only availability all month so snag one of the remaining spots.

MANY of the other classes have wait-lists but do not dismay as if you add yourself to the wait-list a spot usually comes up last minute.

Show your body LOVE by helping it to get STRONGER with every workout you do!!

Wow! What a fabulous 8 weeks it has been for our first Train to Run 5k series! This was the baby of my girl Lisa Desjardins Myers and it finished today with 5 of us as well as Roxie girl doing a full 5k! 🥳

Lisa did an amazing job of leading us and keeping us motivated with her constant encouragement. ❤️

Each week we gave the group a running protocol, nutrition and cross-training tips as well as words of wisdom. We also had a What’s App group where we could post pics of our runs and stats to keep each other accountable and to cheer each person on! 🙌

Some of us will be continuing to prep as 5 of us have signed up for a Santa Run in mid November! 🎅

Lisa & I were very impressed with our team especially the ones that didn’t give up despite hardships that arose! 🦵

Some finished the 8 weeks deciding that running is just not their jam, others are so in love they are wanting to train for a 10k next and stil others rekindled their love of this form of cardio! 🏃‍♀️

We are planning on doing another in the Spring to get ppl into or back into lacing up those running shoes so let me know if interested. Even if you cant make the group runs you still get the weekly protocols, the accountability from the group and the motivation to finish what you started! 💯

Great job to all and also to my Roxie girl for never missing a training session withe me! She is suiting up and coming to the Santa Run with us! 🐶

Gooood morning!
We are entering the first week of NOVEMBER and we are ready to make it MOVEMBER! The worst thing you can do in this upcoming holiday season is move LESS because you drink MORE, you eat MORE and you stress MORE over Christmas so the answer to all of it is to EXERCISE!! So instead of thinking I'm too busy make it a priority and you will sail through the holdiay season and ready to take on the new year in great shape (literally and figuratively).

We are now charging HST as of November 1 so the new price list attached is in effect as of TODAY!

Please note:
*NEW CLASS alert--I am teaching Abs & ASSets this Monday night at 7 pm which is a core focused class for all fitness levels!
*Lisa & I start teaching at Just Move Collective this week!! It is FREE WEEK and I am the first class on Monday at 9:30 am. Hoping to see some familiar faces. For Just Move classes you need to book through their app 'Wellness Living'. Message me for support.
*We start a new strength training program this week! We like to change it up every 6-8 weeks and adjust the formats so that you get a great variety of exercises in your workout and no workout will ever be the same!

😍Oh what a night! Well we were going to Boos, Brews and Cruise in our golf carts from house to house last n but the weather wasn’t on our side so we drove instead.

🍸The first quick stop to meet up was at my house and we had Bloodbath Cocktails and Cranberry pecan balls.

🍷We then went to see Cathy W for amazing wings and Caesar salad and drinks of choice.

🥑Next stop was Rita’s house for Moscow Mules and Monster guacamole!

🍎Lastly we ended up at Sabrina’s house for Purple People Eaters and Apple & Skor dip.

❤️The hosts were amazing, the food was delish, the drinks were plentiful and the company was incredible.

👯‍♀️At GFS we are more than just a place to sweat , we want to be a way for you to make meaningful connections in and out of the gym with like minded people as CONNECTION truly makes life worthwhile.

I hear this all of the time whether it is signing up for fitness classes or nutrition coaching. But guess what? 🤷‍♀️

The reality is you are always going to be BUSY with something so we need to stop waiting for the week or month where we have nothing on as that time never truly comes or at least doesn't last.😯

Whether it is children, work, household chores, elderly parents....there will always be something taking up your time and I would ARGUE that this is actually the BEST time to sign up for classes and/or nutrition coaching as continuing with good eating and healthy habits in times of stress will only HELP you. 😊

As eating 3 balanced meals, drinking your water, getting your steps in, prioritising sleep, going to fitness classes is not just about weight loss...it is about health gains which in the end is most important. 🥗

AND if you are taking care of yourself then guess what? You are going to be a much better mother, grandmother, spouse, caregiver, employee or boss. The people will get the healthy version of you not the burnt out, stressed out, not sleeping and oh so cranky you. 😠

So stop waiting until you are not busy, start embracing that you will always be, and work to fit good nutrition, healthy habits, and fitness sessions into your life now. 🙂‍↕️

It may not be perfect but perfect is not necessary nor needed. Even a little bit of this and that counts a lot in the long game. 🥰

Here is the fitness schedule for next week, the LAST week of October!!
Although many classes are wait-listed feel free to put yourself on the list as spots always come up the day before. 🗓

Want STRENGTH? You can join for any or all classes on Monday at 6 pm (Cove's Landing), Tuesday at 9 am (Cove's Landing or Wednesday night at 6 pm (Tilbury Leisure Centre). 💪

Want CORE? You can sign up for any or all classes on Monday night at 7 pm (Cove's Landing) Wednesday at 9 am (Cove's Landing), Wednesday at 7 pm (Tilbury Leisure Centre) OR Thursday at 11 am at the Lion's Park Pavilion in Lighthouse Cove. 🧘‍♀️

We have a special Halloween event on Thursday night where we will be cruising on golf carts to various houses for apps & drinks!! Can't wait. 🎃
