Let's set some SMART goals for 2026!
A SMART goal is a way to set clear, realistic and achievable goals. In diabetes management, SMART goals help people make manageable changes that improve blood glucose control and overall health.
SMART goals can break diabetes care into small, actionable steps rather than overwhelming changes. They can focus on areas such as blood glucose monitoring, nutrition, physical activity, medication adherence, or stress management.
Here's an example of a SMART goal:
"I will walk for 15 minutes after dinner, 5 days a week, for the next 4 weeks to help improve my blood sugar levels"
