Today, we pause to honour and remember the brave men and women who have served — and continue to serve — our country with courage, dedication, and sacrifice.

The team at St. John Ambulance Timmins joins our community in reflection and gratitude for those who gave their lives for our freedom. We are proud to stand alongside our veterans, first responders, and community members who continue to uphold the spirit of service.

🎃👻 Halloween is almost here! 👻🎃
From all of us at St. John Ambulance Timmins, we’re wishing you a fun and safe night of trick-or-treating! 🍬🚑

Before the ghosts and goblins hit the streets, take a moment to review these First Aid & Safety Tips to help make Halloween full of treats — not trips to the first aid kit:

🟢 Be visible: Add reflective tape or glow sticks to costumes and treat bags. Carry a flashlight so drivers can see you.
🟡 Watch your step: Costumes that drag or masks that block vision can lead to slips or falls. Choose comfort and safety first!
🟠 Check the candy: Only enjoy treats that are sealed and in their original packaging.
🟣 Prevent choking: Remind kids to sit while eating and take small bites. Avoid hard candies or gum for younger children. Know the basics of what to do if someone starts choking — quick action can save a life.
🔵 Stay together: Trick-or-treat in groups, and make sure little ones are supervised at all times.
🔴 Know basic first aid: For minor cuts or scrapes, clean with water, apply antiseptic, and cover with a sterile bandage. Carry a mini first aid kit — just in case!

🚨 Bonus Tip: Program emergency contacts into your phone and know your location when out and about.
