Gum disease (gingivitis), in particular, goes far beyond just your mouth. Unhealthy gums and bone loss may increase your risk for other health conditions, including:
• Cardiovascular disease
• Diabetes
• Respiratory disease
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Alzheimer’s disease
• Pregnancy complications
That’s why we recommend routine hygiene appointments at least every 6 months. Prevention is key to keeping both your smile and your body healthy!
