Sunshine Villa honours and remembers the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our country. We honour those who returned home and those who did not, and we thank all who fought bravely.

Yesterday, Sunshine Villa residents and staff participated in our ceremony to commemorate Remembrance Day. We extend our gratitude to the Tofield Legion for attending and taking part in our ceremony.

We will remember them.

It was a busy day on Halloween at Sunshine Villa! Sonshine Daycare did a costume parade around the Villa to show residents their costumes! In the afternoon residents and staff had many good laughs at our Halloween Party with great costumes, delicious food made by the kitchen and party games. In the evening we had 95 trick-or-treaters come to Sunshine Villa! 🎃

Sunshine Villa Residents were busy yesterday getting the treat bags ready for the trick-or-treaters. Residents will be at the main lobby handing out the treat bags from 4:30pm to 7:30pm or until treat bags run out. We look forward to having trick-or-treaters! 🎃

It’s that delicious time of year again, Sunshine Villa’s Annual Autumn Pie Social is back!

Join us on Saturday, October 18th from 2:00pm to 4pm for an afternoon of pies baked by our kitchen, great conversations, and the soothing sounds of live harp music by Taryn Delaney Penning during the first hour. Bring your family, bring your friends- everyone’s welcome!

Yesterday, Sunshine Villa observed National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Residents and staff wore orange to show their support and remembrance. In the morning residents watched “Wawahte: Stories of Residential School Survivors.” In the afternoon residents came together and created an Orange Shirt Collaborative Poster that is displayed in the hallway.

Residents had a special dinner which included Three Sisters Soup, open- faced bannock tacos, and Indian Pound Cake with berries.

July was jam-packed with fun and creativity! 🌞
From a lively Name That Tune session hosted by one of our amazing residents, to whipping up mouthwatering Mango Floats —we kept the good vibes rolling!

We played Funnel Pong, crafted beautiful DIY seashell trinket dishes 🐚, and threw a tropical Hawaiian Luau Party 🌺. To top it all off, we wrapped up the month with a DIY swimsuit design activity and a fabulous swimsuit design contest! 🩱✨
