Talking for Change – 2025 Year in Review

This year, more people across Canada reached out for help - and that matters.

In 2025, Talking for Change provided:

• 632 anonymous helpline interactions, focused on preventing child sexual abuse and the use of child sexual exploitation material (13% increase from 2024)
• 118 non-anonymous referrals for therapy and further support (17% increase)

Each interaction represents someone taking responsibility and choosing prevention.

Talking for Change continues to provide confidential, evidence-based prevention services nationwide. Help is available. Prevention works—and it is necessary to protect children and communities.

Have you found yourself looking at content online that you never thought you would? 🤔

In Canada, child sexual exploitation material (CSEM) includes content that is written or animated. If you are finding yourself looking at CSEM when you’re stressed or coping with other difficult emotions, our therapy program helps individuals identify situations that influence their desire to view illegal content and develop new strategies to manage these urges.

There is free and anonymous support available to learn how to stop viewing this content. Reach out today to talk to one of our clinicians today: talkingforchange.ca
