Vitamin D plays a key role in maintaining bone density and supporting overall health, including reducing risks of cancer, diabetes, and some autoimmune conditions.

Dr. Liz says a good way to prevent deficiency is first, by finding out what your levels are from your GP or naturopath. Next, supplementation! Especially during winter months.

Dynamic stretching gets your body ready to perform.
Through continuous, full-range movement, it activates your muscles and improves mobility before training.

Think: leg swings, lateral lunges, arm circles. Warm up smarter; not harder.

Did you know? When the Canadian winter sets in, sunshine alone isn’t enough - our bodies can’t make Vitamin D from the sun’s rays this time of year.

Vitamin D is essential for immune health, bone strength, and energy, but many Canadians become deficient during the darker months.

You’ve heard it before – “no pain, no gain” – but that’s not quite true.

Mild discomfort can be normal when you’re building strength, but that sharp, persistent pain that you keep pushing through? That’s your body asking for help.

Proper form, recovery, and progressive loading are key to healthy progress.

Listen to your body. It knows best.

Strength is essential for women. 💪✨

At BridgeHealth, we believe strength isn’t just about lifting weights — it’s about building resilience for every stage of a woman’s life.

During young adulthood, strength supports bone density and posture.
During pregnancy and postpartum, strength helps maintain core stability and promote recovery.

In midlife, resistance training combats hormonal changes, bone loss, and joint pain.
Later in life, it reduces fall risk and promotes independence and vitality.

Strength is the foundation of confidence, energy, and longevity. That’s why our physiotherapists, kinesiologists, and integrated care team tailor programs to meet women where they are - from recovering after childbirth to managing chronic illness or menopause to training for performance.

Strong women are supported by thoughtful, integrated care. Let’s build yours together.

Whether you're navigating fatigue, stress, muscular pain, or hormonal shifts, Dr. Clare brings a thoughtful approach to uncover root causes and to partner with you on your healing journey.

As a Naturopathic Doctor with a background in kinesiology, personal training, and yoga instruction, Dr. Clare brings a unique perspective to integrated care.

Her passion for health began early through sports, nutrition, and balance, and she has since built a practice that blends evidence-based naturopathic medicine with her lived experience in fitness and wellness. Liz supports patients with a wide range of needs, with particular expertise in peri- and post-menopausal women’s health, hormone testing, IV vitamin therapy, and cosmetic acupuncture.

Fun fact: Before becoming a naturopathic doctor, Liz trained as a certified personal trainer and yoga instructor. She even worked with athletes competing at the Pan-Am Games! That same passion for movement and performance informs her care today.
