The first picture shows a bundle of lumber, soon to become a greenhouse. It fills me with joy to look at this picture. It represents a seed of an idea springing from the ground. Although there is much construction to be done before we see the finished product, it contains so much potential energy and will require substantial input from us. It’s not the ace nor the 10 of wands, but likely the four- with its structure, balance, and potential, a wheel that rolls forward.
The second picture doesn’t evoke as much joy from me, although it, too, demands a lot of effort to make it right. It depicts a shovel being used to loosen a fishing net, caught up in the roots of plants, buried in the soil for years. Now it must be pulled up to make way for the food that will grow in the greenhouse we will build on this spot. This I liken to the princess of swords - a mental battle as much as a physical one, requiring belief in both the cause and one’s ability (or the abilities of one’s community).
