We are excited to introduce the newest member of our optometry team, Dr. Kasthuri Krishnaratnam (Dr. K). Dr. K brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a deep commitment to patient care with a mission to provide the highest quality eye care to you and your family.

Dr. Krishnaratnam grew up in Scarborough, Ontario, and graduated with distinction from the School of Optometry at the University ofWaterloo. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Toronto Metropolitan University. She has practiced in Waterdown, Ontario, as well as in rural Manitoba, where she gained valuable hands-on experience in managing ocular diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma, and cataracts.

Dr. Krishnaratnam served as the Marketing and Communications Director for the Canadian Association of Optometry Students and as Vice President of the National Optometric Student Association in a commitment to advance eye health within minority and underserved communities. Additionally, she volunteered on an optometric mission trip to the Philippines, where she provided eye care to individuals without access to vision services.

We are thrilled to have Dr. Krishnaratnam, and we know you will appreciate her dedication and expertise as much as we do. If you would like to schedule an appointment with Dr. K, or learn more about her services, please don't hesitate to reach out to our office.

Remember now more than ever please remember to
1. WASH YOUR HANDS before handling contact lenses
2. DO NOT sleep in your lenses
3. Remember to clean your lenses and case thoroughly
4. Remember to dispose of your lenses as per modality (daily, biweekly, monthly)
5. DISCONTINUE WEAR IMMEDIATELY if there is any ocular redness/pain/discomfort, or if you have any signs of upper respiratory tract disease

In accordance with the Ontario Chief Medical Officer's directive, we will be ceasing all non-essential and elective eyecare during the COVID-19 outbreak. Our office will be closed, unless for EMERGENCY vision care.
If you are a registered patient of this clinic, and are in pain or, experiencing a sudden loss of vision, or a sudden onset of flashes and floaters and need to see an optometrist immediately, please e-mail us at info@annexeyecare.ca
We are checking e-mail on a regular basis (phone messages are checked less frequently) and will try to respond to you in a timely manner. If this is an ocular emergency, please call Telehealth or visit the nearest Emergency Department.
Contact lenses can be ordered and shipped direct to your home at this time.
