I get this question all the time:
“Is summer actually a good time for permanent makeup?”
And honestly, it’s not about the season.
It’s about how you heal.
Summer, winter, spring… your results come down to how you take care of the area in those first days after your appointment.
That said, summer does come with a few things to be a little more mindful of:
• Sun exposure
Keeping the area protected in the beginning is key, especially if you’re spending time outside. A hat goes a long way, and SPF becomes part of your routine once you’re healed.
• Water and swimming
You don’t have to cancel your plans, just avoid soaking the area while it’s healing.
• Heat and sweating
For the first few days, it’s best to take it easy. After that, you can ease back into your normal routine.
And something most people don’t expect:
Lip blush can actually heal beautifully in the summer. Lips tend to be more hydrated, which can support smoother results.
So if you’ve been waiting for the perfect time, you don’t need to.
Summer works. You just want to go into it prepared.
And once everything is healed?
You can enjoy your days out, vacations, and warm weather without constantly thinking about your makeup. Everything will still look soft, natural, and put-together, just with a lot less effort behind it ☀️
