With fall 🍁 in full swing and winter right around the corner (🥶sorry!) a friendly reminder to get your vitamin D tested!
Vitamin D deficiency is extremely common in Canada and most people need more than the daily recommended dose for optimal levels 😊.
Not only is vitamin D needed for healthy immune system function it also plays important roles in fertility, mood, energy and hormonal health 💥!
Remember to never take high dose vitamin D without testing as it can be dangerous.

Today we're shining the ✨ spotlight ✨ on berberine and how it can be used to support some of our PCOS patients!
Berberine is a plant-based 🌱 medicine that has been found to positively impact some of the root drivers of PCOS symptoms.
In research, berberine has been found to support insulin 🍭 sensitivity, reduce androgens, and has anti-inflammatory 🔥 action within the body. Depending on what your PCOS drivers are, berberine may be an option for you because of these effects but it's important to note it's not for everyone. Berberine does interact ❌with many medications and it can cause gastrointestinal 💩 side effects in some!
