Before you set your New Year’s goals, settle your body. This is ESSENTIAL. I know it’s exciting brainstorming all the amazing things you want to accomplish but settling your body is a must before putting pen to paper.
A nervous system that’s still jacked up from the holidays or a heavy year will choose goals from fear, pressure, or proving 100% of the time.
What you want to create goals from is truth and alignment.
So before planning anything:
Slow your breath. 3x deep breaths
Ground your body. Imaging rooting into earth
Release what you’re done carrying from this year…simply by deciding you no longer need it. Byeeee bye limiting beliefs 🙋🏼♀️
Then write the goal.
And now take a moment to ask yourself:
• Do I actually want the life this goal requires?
• Is this desire coming from alignment… or from fixing, proving, or escaping?
• Would I still want this if no one ever saw it?
Clarity doesn’t come from forcing a vision.
It comes when your body feels safe enough to be honest.
Set goals from regulation not urgency.
That’s when they actually become real.✨
