Pathways to Parenthood, co-hosted last night by Twig Fertility and , explored the many ways people can build a family and the importance of inclusive workplace benefits.

Our panel was moderated by Mindy Loverin, and included Diana McLachlan, Chief People Officer at Wealthsimple, Dr. Rhonda Zwingerman, MD & Co-Founder at Twig Fertility, and Sarah Birrell, Twig Patient & Egg Freezing Advocate. They discussed the current and future landscape of fertility care, shared lived experiences with IVF and egg freezing, and highlighted how inclusive workplace benefits can meaningfully shape someone’s fertility journey.

A resounding theme emerged: there is power in sharing your story.

▫️Strengthened knowledge fosters greater compassion - the fertility journey is one that so many share.

Can generative AI models provide expert-level counselling to fertility patients?

A new study co-authored by our very own Dr. Hadas Ganer Herman evaluates just that.

TLDR: 12 real-world patient scenarios were presented to 2 fertility specialists and popular AI models, ChatGPT and Gemini, to see what their course of action would be.

▫️8 leading experts then evaluated all responses without knowing whether the response was AI or one of the fertility specialists’ recommendations
▫️Fertility specialists outperformed generative AI models in all areas and achieved a higher overall grade from the reviewers

We’re thrilled that Twig Fertility is now a part of the Ontario Fertility Program (OFP).

This means that eligible patients can now access one government funded IVF cycle, and this is a major step forward in making fertility care more accessible. This along with the Ontario Fertility Tax Credit significantly reduces financial barriers to care.

A huge thank you to Deputy Premier and Minister of Health , Premier and their teams for recognizing and supporting the fertility journeys of Ontarians.

The news we’ve been hoping for - OFP funding has arrived at Twig!

Twig Fertility is now an approved clinic under the Ontario Fertility Program (OFP), meaning that eligible patients can now access government funded IVF cycles.

As a team and as patients ourselves, we’re deeply grateful for this major step toward making fertility care more affordable and accessible in Ontario.
