Small changes add up more than we think.

We tend to wait for the “right time” to make big life changes — but honestly? It’s usually the small, unsexy stuff that actually moves the needle.

Swipe through for 5 simple lifestyle tweaks that are easy to start and hard to argue with.

Day 1 — Set an intention in the morning

Day 2 — Don’t skip movement two days in a row

Day 3 — Catch yourself being hard on yourself. Then don’t be.

Day 4 — Check in with your body before it starts screaming at you

Day 5 — End the day by noticing one thing that went okay

That’s it. No 75 Hard. No 5am wake-ups. Just small stuff, done consistently.

Which one are you actually going to try? Tell me in the comments 👇

Your brain filters reality constantly.

Every second your brain processes millions of signals, but only a tiny fraction reach your conscious awareness. Your Reticular Activating System decides what gets attention and what fades into the background.

If you carry the belief that you are not good enough, your brain will start collecting evidence that confirms it. It notices mistakes, awkward moments, missed opportunities, and signs of disappointment. At the same time it often ignores compliments, successes, and the moments when you showed strength or competence.

This is how the overthinking loop begins. Conversations replay in your mind. Interactions get analyzed repeatedly. Your brain keeps searching for proof that something went wrong.

The important thing to remember is that this pattern does not mean something is wrong with you. It means your brain learned a filter that focuses on certain signals more than others.

The good news is that filters can change. When you start intentionally noticing moments of connection, competence, and progress, your brain slowly begins to prioritize those signals as well.

Therapy can help you recognize these patterns and practice directing your attention in healthier ways.

You Google symptoms for reassurance…

You find a possible diagnosis…

You feel worse.

That’s the “false reassurance” loop. It’s why every search leads to more fear, not relief.

Discover the psychology behind health anxiety and how to stop the spiral.

You don’t have to be in crisis to deserve support.

Sometimes it’s just that quiet, persistent feeling that something isn’t right. You’re getting through the days, but you’re not really living them. You feel disconnected from yourself, from your relationships, from the life you thought you’d have by now.

That’s worth talking about.

At Get Reconnected, we work with people who are tired of feeling stuck and ready to actually do something about it. Not sure where to start? That’s okay. That’s literally what the first conversation is for.

Healing doesn’t happen all at once.

It’s in the small moments where you pause, choose, and respond differently than you did before.

That’s agency.
Not control over everything, but choice in how you move through it.

Save this for when you need the reminder.

Proud to share that our psychotherapist Katayon Qahir was recently featured in Authority Magazine talking about something that doesn’t get nearly enough attention — healing from psychological abuse.

She talks about why toxic relationships are so hard to name while you’re in them, what actually helps people heal, and the five things survivors need to start rebuilding after leaving.

Katayon works with adults recovering from toxic relationships, chronic stress, and trauma. She offers virtual sessions across Ontario.

You haven’t lost that person. You’ve just lost the path back to them.

That’s what therapy is for. To help you find your way back to yourself.

Your thoughts feel true. That doesn’t make them facts.

We all move through the world with a set of assumptions we mistake for reality — shaped by everything we’ve lived through. Recognizing that is actually one of the most powerful things you can do for your mental health.

What’s one assumption you’ve been treating as truth lately?

Not all emotional expression looks like talking. Many men process emotion through action, movement, or building something. This is valid, but awareness is still important.
