Most couples think a strong relationship means you never fight.
But the couples who last are the ones who know how to repair after a rupture.

Repair is not a perfect apology.
Repair is a pattern you practice.

Here are a few examples of what repair can sound like:

I got defensive and I see how that hurt you

I’m sorry, I want to do better

Can we try again and talk about what we both need right now?

If this feels hard, you’re not broken.
Most of us were never taught how to come back after conflict.
Therapy can help you slow things down, understand your triggers, and rebuild safety in the relationship.

Some feelings don’t need fixing, they need space.

If you’ve been telling yourself you should be over it, fine, grateful, stronger, calmer, this is your reminder that your emotions are not a problem to solve, they’re information.

Let yourself feel what’s there, without judging it or rushing it.

If you want support learning how to sit with your feelings without getting overwhelmed by them, reach out for a free consultation.

Googling symptoms is usually not about curiosity, it is about trying to feel safe when your body feels unpredictable.

The problem is that reassurance rarely lasts, and the cycle quietly trains your nervous system to stay on edge instead of learning how to tolerate uncertainty.

In therapy, we slow this pattern down and work with what is actually driving the anxiety, not just the urge to search.

ADHD and anxiety can look similar on the surface.
But they are driven by very different processes underneath.

ADHD is often about attention regulation, working memory, and impulse control.
Anxiety is driven by threat detection and a nervous system that stays on high alert.

Many people live with both.
Others are treated for anxiety when ADHD is actually the core issue, or vice versa.

That distinction matters.
Because support that helps one can miss the mark for the other.

If you have ever thought, Why does nothing seem to fully help, this may be part of the reason.

Sleep is not just about rest.
It is active work your brain and body do every night.

While you sleep, your nervous system resets.
Your brain processes emotional experiences.
Your body repairs, rebuilds, and restores balance.

That is why chronic sleep disruption affects mood, focus, stress tolerance, and emotional regulation.
It is not a lack of discipline.
It is biology.

In our blog on sleep, we break down what actually happens when you sleep and why it matters far more than most people realize.

Behind every title is a real person who sits with real stories.

At Get Reconnected, we are a team of therapists who care about the work we do and the people we meet. Each of us brings different training, perspectives, and areas of focus, but we share the same approach: meeting clients where they are, without rushing, fixing, or minimizing what they are carrying.

Whether someone comes in feeling overwhelmed, stuck, grieving, burned out, or unsure where to begin, our work starts with listening and building trust.

If you are thinking about starting therapy, you can reach out for a free consultation to see who might be the right fit for you.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, constantly “on,” or just… tired all the time?

That’s not just you ... it’s the reality of modern life. In our 24/7 world, stress isn’t just about having a lot to do. It’s about never fully disconnecting from work, notifications, news, and performance pressure. You’re expected to be available, productive, informed, and optimized, all at once. That’s a lot for any human to carry.

In our latest blog, we break down why this kind of chronic stress really affects the brain and body, and offer practical ways to create boundaries and protect your mental health.

If you’ve ever wondered why you feel so drained even when you’re “doing all the right things,” this one’s for you. Link in bio to read the full blog.

World Health Organization - Burnout Classification

In our latest newsletter, we shared how the World Health Organization officially classifies burnout as an occupational phenomenon caused by chronic workplace stress. This framing matters because it shifts burnout away from personal weakness and toward systemic workplace conditions.
