Silverton-Colorado is a town in the Rocky Mountains that used to have silver mines. Animas Forks is an extintic mining town named after the Animas River where people used to live in the mountains ⛰️ to explore the region

There is still a train running that comes to the town from Durango and the famous Million Dollar Highway

Silverton has preserved the old historical architecture and charm

Navajo Tribal Park charges an entrance fee, but it is beautiful

It was John Wayne favorite place to enjoy beauty and serenity

They have an extensive gift store with lots of native handmade jewelry, handmade rugs, mocassins, photos, ceramics, and art pieces

People used to live in the acient stone house ruins
The access is not easy, but I guess they used to be good climbers 😄
