It was our pleasure to interview our patient, 😊Sharon. As a F＆B franchise consultant, she is always on her feet at work, therefore she had suffered with 🦶🏻plantar fasciitis for over 9 months🤯！Luckily, after a few treatments with our Chiropodist, Mark, her heel pain has subsided and now she is enjoying her life！

Happy Lunar New Year! This is the year of rabbit! Here are some tips on how to keep your feet warm during the winter (According to Chinese medicine):

1. Soak your feet in warm, ginger and salt water for 10 to 15min can help to increase your circulation and kill some germs. (few pieces of chopped gingers and handful of salt/epsom salt)
2. Massage kidney 1 acu point (below the 2nd & 3rd MPJoint) helps to increase the circulation and shift consciousness.

農曆新年快樂！嚟到冬天大家都少不免血氣運行慢，出現手腳冰冷問題。足科醫生Mark除了西醫了得亦對中醫穴位有點研究！以下同大家分享一下冬天養生貼士，等大家過一個暖洋洋的春節！

1. 俗語說：「人老腳先衰，養生先養腳」每天睡前用42°C的溫水泡腳能夠幫助血液運行。如果想效果更顯著的可以在水中加入生薑和一把鹽，時間在10-15分鐘為佳。(如果有不適便要立即停止)

2. 另外每天按壓湧泉穴有養腎及活血的功效。位置在腳底第2/3根腳趾繨下，用拇指在穴位按壓18次，共3組。

(Ingrown Toenail Surgery)
This patient had an ingrown toenail on the left big toe. Many years ago, she had it removed but it grew back and becomes painful.
To remove it permanently, I had to use a chemical to kill the root to prevent the nail regrowing.
The healing time for the nail surgery was approximately 2 months.

(Verrucae/Plantar Warts)
This young healthy patient had a plantar wart/verrucae on her lateral plantar heel. Duration few months time.

Warts/Verrucae are viral infection (HPV) on the skin. They appear as cauliflower/black dots lesions. they can be painful when weight bearing. They can be spread through contacting contaminated surfaces, such as swimming pools.

There are many treatment options for warts/verrucae. In this video, I was using the Faulknor's needling technique to puncture the plantar wart/verrucae from the outter layer (epidermis) into the deeper layer (subcutaneous) of the skin.
Some studies show that the success rate of the Faulknor's needling is high with a single treatment session. .
