Today, I celebrate 6 years of Gail Wilson Counselling Services Inc.

Six years of holding space.
Six years of listening deeply.
Six years of walking alongside individuals, families, and communities through healing, transition, and transformation.

This journey has been grounded in care, cultural humility, resilience, and purpose. To every client who trusted the process, every community partner who collaborated with intention, and every supporter who believed in this vision —
thank you!!!

I am honoured to continue this work, centering wellness, dignity, and hope — and I look forward to what the next chapter will bring 🌱

🕊️ Today we remember.

At Gail Wilson Counselling Services Inc., we honour the African and African-diasporic heroes of the World Wars whose service shaped our world.

✨ Meet three of them (Images not found):

📍 Eugene Jacques Bullard (USA/France heritage) — WWI combat pilot.
📍 Esau Khamati Oriedo (Kenya) — Served in both WWI & WWII.
📍 Berry Gazi (South Africa) — WWII hero, awarded for bravery under fire in North Africa.

Their stories remind us: courage knows no boundaries, and healing must recognise every voice.

At Gail Wilson Counselling Services Inc., we centre Black joy, collective memory and trauma-informed healing. Today we honour our ancestors’ service as part of our healing journey.

🇯🇲 We will rise together.

It took me a minute to gather my thoughts to post this- I'm Jamaican, my parish St bess ( St Elizabeth) is heavily devastated and my Family is directly impacted- Generational home, displaced family...I couldn't find words beyond my initial tears but as a Jamaican we find hope and allow faith to guide us always!

Jamaica, my heart is with you.
As Hurricane Melissa brings challenge and uncertainty, we hold tight to what has always carried us through — community, faith, and the unstoppable spirit of our people.

From the Maroons to Marcus Garvey, from revival chants to reggae prayers, from village hands lifting one roof at a time — we come from a history of strength, unity, and survival.

We are a people who don’t just endure —
We rebuild. We rise. We give thanks. We stand together.

To everyone affected, displaced, or worried —
we are holding you in love, prayer, and solidarity.

We call on our government and community to:
