Nature shows us how to heal. All we need to do is learn how to pay attention to the slow pace, the gentle rhythm, and the effortless way the earth exists. 🌿

Listening to your body is an act of resistance.

Against a world that demands you stay busy, override your fatigue, and ignore your needs choosing to slow down is the most radical form of self-care.

Reclaim your autonomy. Listen.

Your body is smarter than a simple ON/OFF switch!

Stop calling it "just stress." Polyvagal Theory shows your nervous system has 3 sophisticated states for survival:

1. Safe & Social
2. Mobilization
3. Immobilization

The Reality of Burnout: Stress Mode vs. Safety Mode

Chronic stress in the workplace is the persistent activation of the Sympathetic Nervous System ("The Gas Pedal"). It severely limits clear thinking, creativity, and effective problem-solving.

This carousel breaks down the difference:

Stress Mode: High vigilance, poor sleep, burnout. Necessary for emergencies, but disastrous long-term.

Safety Mode: Deep focus, creativity, restoration. The state required for sustained high performance.

How do you signal "Safety" to your nervous system during a busy workday?

Burnout isn’t a sign of weakness — it’s a signal from the body that something needs care.

As therapists, we hold space for others, but we also need to listen to our own inner cues.

I’m unplugging this weekend to rest, reconnect, and let creativity find me again.

Embodiment is the goal of somatic psychotherapy. It’s not just being aware of the body. It’s about remembering who we are in our natural state, before the events that led to disembodiment. It’s nothing special. Just our ordinary state that we forgot along the way. Somatic therapy helps you to remember.
