Those of us who dedicate our lives to mental health need time for contemplation.
Sometimes it takes a radical change of environment to truly pause.

As therapists, we hold many stories.
Over time, it can become hard to know what energy is ours to carry.

For me, walking in the Andes has become a space of contemplation
less structured than meditation, more spacious and alive.

When I was younger, I traveled to escape.
Now, I travel to re-center so I can return home grounded and of service to my community in Toronto.

Your hypervigilance is not a character flaw. It's a sign your brain is working too hard to keep you safe. Be compassionate with your nervous system. Neurofeedback helps ease that burden. ❤️

Listening to your body is an act of resistance.

Against a world that demands you stay busy, override your fatigue, and ignore your needs choosing to slow down is the most radical form of self-care.

Reclaim your autonomy. Listen.

When your "Gas Pedal" (Fight or Flight) is stuck on, your nervous system needs a new signal.

Nature is one of the quickest ways to hit the "Brake Pedal" and signal safety. It reminds your body it's okay to rest and digest.

Go outside today and let the earth co-regulate you. 👇
