🌷The first place where we get a small idea of who we think we are is from our childhood. We first state what colour we are, and the family we came from. Sometimes childhood trauma gives us a negative idea of who we think we are, and we walk around with it, allowing it to control our behaviour towards others, and even stopping us from connecting with genuine people.
🌷Some of us were abandoned by our birth parents, and that great act lead us to believe that we are not wanted, and we carry that lie into our adult life. Some of us are in situations where we have been single for many years, longing for someone to settle with us, but yet it doesn’t ever work out. And because of that continuous experience, you believe the lie that you are not good enough. Some of us have been divorced, and because of the failed marriage we believe the lie that we are failures, but that is not the truth at all.
🌷Going through all these hard situations, unfortunately conditions our minds in believing that we are something negative, rejected or unloved, but that’s what the enemy wants you to think so he can stop your progress in life. When we don’t know who God created us to be, we then allow our past negative experiences to shape who we are. You are not who people say you are, but you are who God says you are!
🌷God created you, he loves you, he cherishes you. You are his beloved daughter. You are a beautiful rose, unfortunately at times growing through concrete, but you still will pass through and become all who God called you to be.
