It’s easy to get swept up in the doing of things.
Sometimes, in the middle of building, creating, sharing, and showing up, I need to remind myself to just breathe and stay present. To just sit in the stillness, to let the noise fade, and to remember that I’m held and especially that I’m safe.
It’s easy to forget how much healing happens in those simple “sacred pauses”.
But, everything happens in its own rhythm and when we breathe, it’s the breath that returns us to ourselves.
Although it’s becoming an overused “spiritual” phrase these days, a sacred pause just means that we’re choosing to pause with awareness.
We are intentionally giving ourselves space to notice what’s really going on inside, rather than just reacting or pushing forward.
When I guide people in healing meditations, I remind them that it’s the breath that is the bridge to their higher consciousness.
So, in this sacred pause, I’m taking time out today to notice where my nervous system can soften, where I can breathe more deeply, to remember where my own rhythm is again, and be the bridge to my higher self.
What do you notice when you pause to breathe?
