OsteoSofia

OsteoSofia OsteoSofia is created to offer Osteopathic Manual care, and Workshops related to the Sofia( Wisdom) in our body and how we as Humans can manifest it.

After I finished my Manual Osteopathy Diploma (D.O.M.P), and was asked to teach at several schools, I decided to open this page, but I was not sure what shall i name it. So I decided to meditate to see if the name will come to me, after 3 weeks of mediation I received the name OsteoSofia, which means The Divine Wisdom in the Bone system. People usually think of our skeleton as a dead matter, yet life starts from within, from the bone marrow, and it is this breathing of life and death that is manifested in our thoughts, feelings and actions. Through the specific treatments and knowledge provided by OsteoSofia, your body will learn how to be in balance between those two poles, and live a more harmonised life.

New data has emerged regarding the 2024-2025 flu season. 📊
Researchers at the Cleveland Clinic recently released a preprint study analyzing the effectiveness of this year’s influenza vaccine among over 53,000 employees.
The study found that vaccinated individuals actually had a slightly higher risk of testing positive for the flu, with a calculated vaccine effectiveness of -26.9%. This suggests that this year’s vaccine may not have been a good match for the circulating strains in this specific region.
Why does this matter?
While vaccines are a primary tool in public health, their effectiveness changes every year based on how the virus evolves. Studies like this are vital for “real-time” monitoring of how well our medical tools are working.
Important Note: This is a preprint, meaning it has not yet undergone the formal peer-review process. It is a snapshot of one specific population in Ohio and should be interpreted as part of a larger body of evidence.
Stay informed and stay healthy! 🤒✨

For decades, the old food pyramid told us to fear fat, prioritize refined grains, and trust industrial food science.
The result? Rising obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and chronic inflammation.

The problem was never real food.
The problem was a reductionist nutritional model that ignored biology, metabolism, hormones, and the nervous system.

This new dietary approach finally acknowledges what science and clinical practice have shown for years:
✔️ Protein is essential for metabolic health
✔️ Whole foods matter more than calorie counting
✔️ Ultra-processed foods damage physiology
✔️ Nutrition must support the brain, hormones, and immune system — not just weight loss

This isn’t politics.
It’s a long-overdue correction.

Nutrition should be biological, individualized, and evidence-based — not dogmatic.

If you have an elderly person at home, one of the best supplements you can give them is Creatine , and here is why:
As we age, the brain — just like the body — needs steady, reliable energy.
Creatine isn’t only for athletes. In older adults, it may help support memory, attention, and mental stamina during everyday tasks.

Small, safe steps can make aging feel clearer and more confident.
Always speak with your doctor or pharmacist before starting any supplement, especially if you take medications or have medical conditions.

Yesterday I offered a small workshop on the Impulse of Christ and the New Year. What was planned from 5:00 to 6:30 became something much deeper — and we didn’t finish until 10:30.

Something beautiful happened in the space.

Through the questions, we travelled together — from human biography and trauma, to consciousness and healing, all the way back to the great questions of creation… almost to the “Big Bang”… and then gently back into everyday life.

We explored how the human being is a living process — shaped by struggle, love, awareness, and the inner forces that keep working silently within us.

And we approached the Christ impulse not as dogma, but as a living invitation toward transformation — from fear to responsibility, from fragmentation to wholeness, from automatic reactions to conscious choice.

Psychologically, we experienced how growth happens when a group holds space with curiosity instead of judgment. Spiritually, we felt moments of meaning when hearts truly listened.

What touched me most was the honest sharing, the depth of the questions, and the presence in the room. Instead of doing one process, we ended up moving through several exercises and multiple processing moments throughout the evening — each one opening something new.

Grateful for everyone who was there. Randa thank you for offering your beautiful home 🙏❤️
May the New Year call us toward more awareness, courage, and inner work. 🙏✨

Is your brain “clogged”? 🧠🚿
We focus so much on gut detoxes, but what about the 3lb organ between your ears?
Science has recently discovered the Glymphatic System—your brain’s secret “plumbing” system. It’s designed to flush out metabolic waste and toxic proteins (like those linked to Alzheimer’s) while you sleep.
The problem? Most of us are accidentally “clogging” the drain with poor sleep, sedentary habits, and shallow breathing. 📉
Swipe left to learn 4 science-backed ways to activate your brain’s rinse cycle! 🧼✨
In this carousel, we’re breaking down:
💤 The “Sleep Position” hack for better drainage.
🏃‍♂️ Why cardio is actually a “brain power-wash.”
🧘‍♀️ The breathing technique that pumps fluid to your head.
💆‍♀️ A simple massage trick to open the lymphatic gates.
Functional Medicine Tip: Pair these habits with Magnesium Threonate and high-dose Omega-3s to keep the “fluidity” high and the brain fog low. 💊
Stop living with a “dirty” brain. Start your detox tonight.

The most harmful habit in a baby’s first year?
👉 Repeatedly letting a baby cry for long periods without comfort.

Neuroscience shows that when a baby’s distress goes unanswered again and again, stress hormones (cortisol) rise — and this can affect the development of the limbic system, the part of the brain that builds emotional safety, trust, and long-term stress regulation.

This is not about brief crying or normal daily moments.
It’s about patterns where a baby’s emotional needs are consistently overlooked.

Research from major developmental labs shows that chronic unresponsiveness disrupts wiring in the amygdala and prefrontal cortex, shaping how the child will later process fear, connection, and emotional resilience.

Babies are biologically wired for comfort.
Responsive caregiving — picking them up, making eye contact, soothing during stress — actually protects their brain and builds secure attachment.

The goal isn’t perfection.
The goal is presence.
Small, consistent moments of attunement create a lifetime foundation of emotional health.

🛑 Chewing Gum: A Microplastic Minefield? Sweet Habit, Bitter Truth. 🛑
Many popular chewing gums contain synthetic polymers – essentially plastics – that break down into microplastics as we chew. But what happens when we accidentally ingest these tiny particles? The science is still emerging, but here’s what some research suggests about the potential side effects on our bodies:
The Microplastic Journey:
1. Ingestion: Each chew can release thousands of microplastics.
2. Digestion: Tiny particles enter our gut, potentially causing inflammation and disrupting the delicate balance of our microbiome.
3. Absorption: Some microplastics are so small they can cross the gut barrier and potentially enter our bloodstream.
Potential Side Effects:
• Gut Health: May contribute to gut inflammation, alter gut microbiome composition, and potentially impact nutrient absorption.
• Brain & Nervous System: Early research suggests microplastics could potentially:
• Induce inflammation and irritation.
• Disrupt the blood-brain barrier, which protects our brain from harmful substances.
• Lead to oxidative stress in brain cells.
• Have neurological impacts, though more research is needed here.
• Heart Health: While direct links are still being studied, systemic inflammation caused by microplastics could theoretically have downstream effects on cardiovascular health.
What Can You Do?
Consider switching to natural chewing gums made from chicle, a tree sap, or plant-based alternatives like mint leaves or cardamom pods.

Let’s chew on this thought: Is our small indulgence worth the potential unseen costs?

🤯 The GRANDMOTHER EFFECT: Your Intelligence is a Generational Legacy. 🧬
Most people think intelligence comes equally from both parents, but emerging research in genetics and neuroscience points to a powerful influence from the maternal line—especially the grandmother!
Here’s the science behind your brilliant legacy:
1. X Marks The Spot: Genes related to intelligence are heavily concentrated on the X Chromosome. Since males inherit their only X from their mother, and females inherit one from each parent, the maternal genetic contribution to cognitive function is highly significant.
2. The Egg’s Secret Code: The egg carries more than just half your genes. It provides all of your Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) and transfers epigenetic tags—biological markers influenced by environment and lifestyle—that can affect gene expression in the developing fetus.
3. The Transgenerational Echo: This is the most fascinating part: The egg cells your mother carried (which eventually became you) began developing while she was still a fetus inside your grandmother. This means your grandmother’s environment, diet, or stress levels could have potentially left epigenetic “imprints” on the cells that formed you.
Your intelligence is not just hardwired DNA, but a complex, dynamic blend of genetics and an incredible generational legacy. You carry the biological code and “memory” of those who came before you!

Masochism is not simply about seeking pain—it’s a window into the complexity of the human psyche.

🔹 Sometimes, we internalize pain because it feels safer than confronting rejection or abandonment.
🔹 For others, humiliation or suffering becomes unconsciously tied to love, attention, or connection.
🔹 Freud described it as anger turned inward, while psychology today also links it to early relational wounds and trauma.

Behind the mask of masochism, we often find:
• Longing for love and safety 💔
• Unprocessed guilt or shame ⚖️
• Fear of loss or abandonment 🌑
• A hidden cry to be seen and accepted 👁

Understanding these patterns is the first step toward transforming them. Healing begins when we learn to experience love and intimacy without needing to suffer for it.

Not to mention that a big component can be our relation or core belief to religion that portrays sacrifice and pain to a certain extreme as a way to God !

💙 If this resonates with you, know that you don’t have to go through it alone.
✨ You can DM me if you feel ready to explore this further and find new ways of healing.
