Today is World AIDS Day. It's a day to honour those we’ve lost, stand with people living with HIV, and recommit to the fight against stigma. HIV isn’t just a medical issue; it’s a story of resilience, community care, and the ongoing push for equity and access.
If you’re looking to learn more or support the work being done across Canada, you can start here:
https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/hiv-aids/world-aids-day.html
And if this day brings up grief, fear, memories, or just a lot of feelings, you’re not alone. In my practice, I hold space for folks navigating the emotional realities of chronic illness, stigma, identity, and loss. There's lots of compassion and zero judgment.
