A human trial testing a potential “age-reversal” therapy is about to begin.

Life Biosciences just received FDA clearance to test a gene therapy designed to partially reprogram cells — with the goal of restoring vision in people with glaucoma.

The science is based on Nobel Prize-winning cellular reprogramming research. In animal studies, this approach appeared to make certain cells function more like younger versions of themselves.

But this is still early-stage research.

This trial is about safety first — and whether this type of rejuvenation can work in humans at all.

Dr. Hemsworth started Skin Worthy with his wife and partner, Barb Hemsworth, in the fall of 2016. Since then, Skin Worthy has grown into a full non-surgical aesthetic medicine clinic staffed with a talented multidisciplinary team and the latest aesthetic technologies.
