I’m just wrapping up and reflecting on a wonderful trip to Whitehorse, Yukon that was part learning, part self-care, and all mind blowing! I had the pleasure of joining some wonderful women to gather and learn from Judy Green and her expertise in pediatric osteopathy. We spent our days learning by the wood stove, and our evenings at the hot spring or gazing at the sky. Nature is everywhere and we enjoyed many animal friends as well as snowy hikes to mountain peaks while connecting with each other as well as ourselves. I fell in love with the North and can’t wait to come back!

It’s been an amazing time working in the holistic clinic at . Yesterday I wrapped up my last appointments in my beautiful treatment room. I couldn’t be more grateful for the growth that I’ve received over the past decade and for the incredible people that I’ve met along the way. I wish the best as they grow their yoga space and can’t wait to see their developments✨
I’ll be starting my next adventure along with my talented colleagues and as we open our own clinic space at Bloor and Clinton. We’re flying by the seat of our pants, but it’s coming along and we’re getting pretty excited! We’re hoping to open around mid-August. Stay tuned! 🎉✨💕💃🏽🙏🏽

In case you haven’t heard, the holistic clinic at will be closing in August. I have so much gratitude for having started my career here and spent the past decade as part of the OG community. I’ve met the most amazing clients and colleagues in this space, completed my schooling, and have made it through a pandemic here. I’ve been a support for others and I’ve been supported. We’re evolving, there’s a lot of feels but I’m looking forward to the next stage in this evolution. My fellow practitioners and I will be relocating and we’ll have some news soon so please stay tuned!

Many of you have been eagerly awaiting getting back to regular osteopathy treatments, and I’ve been eager to get back to providing my regular osteopathy services.

The Ontario Government recently introduced its roadmap to reopening, and there is some guidance about what that all means. We will be back to work in Step 2 of the plan with the criteria being that 70% of eligible people have their first vaccine and 20% have received both doses. There’s no set date for Step 2 currently, but Step 1 is expected to start on June 14. If the trends look good, Step 2 would begin 21 days later, bringing us to early July. All of my fingers and toes are crossed!

In the meantime, I am happy to still be providing Massage Therapy treatments. The aim of treatments in both massage therapy and osteopathy are very complimentary. If you have any questions about how a massage therapy treatment from me can be beneficial for you, please don’t hesitate to ask.

I’m happy to say that I’ve had my first shot of the Covid-19 vaccine. This year has been a big one to say the least-for everyone.
A year ago we were in our first lockdown and I was home for 3 long months. As someone who helps people for a living, it was difficult to be unable to lend a hand, especially when people were in such need. I was thrilled to be back at work but it was not without an underlying anxiety that I could get the virus or worse, transmit it to others.
So many people including our most vulnerable still need to get the shot. So many of our essential workers still need to get theirs. We must all still direct our energy toward doing what we can to prevent the spread of this virus. But for now, I feel a little lighter, less anxious and privileged as ever to get to show up and care for anyone who comes into my office. I have so much gratitude. That is all. ✨
