The signs of dental disease are not always obvious.

Watch for these common signs:

• Bad breath (it’s not “normal dog breath”!)
• Yellow or brown tartar buildup
• Red, swollen, or bleeding gums
• Drooling more than usual
• Difficulty chewing or dropping food
• Pawing at the mouth
• Decreased appetite or behavior changes

Prevention is key! Regular dental exams, professional cleanings, dental chews, and at-home brushing can help keep your pet healthy and pain-free.

Healthy teeth = happier pets 💙

**LOST DOG** - Dora has gone missing. She is a 3 1/2 year old Chihuahua Pug mix, and on Saturday, June 14th at approximately 4:30 AM she ran away from the sitters when the owner was out of the country.

The sitter was located at Keele and Annette however, the owner is located in Mississauga. Therefore she is lost and does not know her way home. She has been all over the west end of Toronto including the Gardiner Expressway in sightings, but it has been a week since her last sighting. Please keep your eyes out for Dora and help bring her home!

Dental Cleanings - we are often asked if there is a way to properly clean animals teeth without sedation. The reality is, any cleaning without sedation is only removing plaque from the teeth and not getting under the gum line where disease occurs. In order to be thorough, using mild sedation keeps the animals comfortable during this procedure. We always have an assistant in the room monitoring your pets vitals as their safety is our #1 priority. Regular dental cleanings can help prevent gum disease and tooth decay in your pets. Is it time to have your pets teeth cleaned?
