Yoga Grove - Small classes. Big difference.

Yoga Grove - Small classes. Big difference. Yoga Grove offers expert yoga instruction in small classes of no more than 8 students.

At Yoga Grove, yoga classes are purposefully kept small so that everyone can have a personal experience of yoga. Many people find themselves lost in a large studio class, unsure if they are doing the right thing as they try to follow the instructor, and are they are unable to ask questions or get clarification throughout the class. With class sizes limited to 6, students find that yoga is much more accessible, as the instructor is able to personalize the class to the needs, level and interests of the group, as well as to interact with the students throughout the classes. There are a wide variety of yoga styles and levels to choose from, enabling participants to strengthen their bodies, release tension and increase flexibility, as well as to relax the mind and come away with a sense of calm and equanimity that carries through to their everyday lives.

Finding ease and stillness in child pose can be challenging.
"If you have tight shoulders and having your arms in front is uncomfortable, bring your arms back and grab your heels. You might feel your buttocks coming closer towards your hip. Try it and let me know what you find.
Child pose is one of the best poses you can practice, especially if you lead a stressful lifestyle. I always say if you have online 5 minutes for yoga, practice child pose in any variation that makes you feel fully supported and safe." Amyris (Yoga with Amyris )
Join Amyris for Gentle Hatha every Tuesday at 11 am, and don't miss her occasional Restorative Yoga sessions. These classes are perfect for finding your inner calm and rejuvenating your spirit.

Let's get those legs up the wall and feel the blood flowing. It's a great way to relax and rejuvenate.
"Tired, heavy feeling legs? Whether it was leg day at the gym or you've spent all day on your feet give Legs Up the Wall or Viparita Karani a try and get ready to relax. Set the short end of your mat against the wall and sit down with one of your hips as close as possible to the wall. As you begin to lie down on your back, extend your legs up the wall and open your arms out to the side. Adjust as necessary to position your glutes close to the wall. Bolster on your feet is optional and offers some weight to help the back of the hips stay heavy on the earth. Allow the base of your tailbone to ease down towards your mat as your back gently lengthens. Soften your gaze or close your eyes and breathe slowly and deeply. This asana can be enjoyed for 5-15 minutes." Caitlin Yan

Yoga can open thepath to learning something new about you...
"During my Yoga teacher training, I learned something new about myself...That I am fascinated by the philosophy of yoga as much as the physical practice of yoga (and of course the extreme hands-on adjustments in the picture). Every day, I looked forward to the philosophy class by Achariya and I remembered that I wanted that hour to be longer.
I also realized during my stay at the ashram that I saw sunrise and sunset every day because there were no buildings around to block that view from us–- how soothing that was! It is easy to miss sunset and sunrise, here in Toronto because the sky is often blocked by condos, plus we live busy everyday. Seeing sunrise and sunset on a daily basis itself can sooth you!
We may not always need a big expensive vacation in a foreign country (though it can be nice!), but often times, we just need to consciously seek for places and time to engage with sunrise and sunset." Leeay Aikawa
