Celebrating our incredible partners at the Sea2Sky AOII Alumnae Chapter! 🎉

Sea2Sky are dedicated champions for juvenile arthritis — bringing passion, energy, and purpose to everything they do and driving momentum for our shared cause.

Since 2023, they’ve hosted multiple fundraisers collectively raising over $1,000 to advance juvenile arthritis research and help provide access to our summer camp program for kids living with arthritis.

Together, they are helping every child move freely, laugh fully, and live bravely without the lifelong burden of arthritis.

Arthritis breakthroughs are at risk — unless we invest now.

Arthritis affects more Canadians than diabetes, heart disease, cancer, stroke, and dementia combined. But research funding is moving backward.

Recent data shows:
🍁🔬 Canada’s top health research agency increased overall funding by 22%
💰⬇️ Arthritis-specific research funding has dropped 40% — representing just 1.23% of its budget

This is happening as science is accelerating — from early detection and personalized treatments to innovations that could one day repair damaged joints.

When research is funded: real progress, real innovation, real hope are possible.

We need your support now more than ever. The breakthroughs of the next decade depend on the choices we make today.

👉 Read our post to learn why arthritis breakthroughs are at risk without renewed investment: https://arthritis.ca/about-us/news-stories/arthritis-research-underfunding/
