At Li Family Dental, we’re proud to accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) - a government-funded program designed to make dental care more accessible for Canadians.

The CDCP helps cover the cost of essential dental services for eligible residents, including exams, cleanings, fillings, root canals, dentures, and more. Coverage is based on household income, and in some cases, services may be fully covered.

If you don’t have private dental insurance and your adjusted family income is under $90,000, you may qualify.

Visit the Government of Canada website to apply and learn more about eligibility and coverage - and feel free to contact our office if you have questions about using your CDCP benefits with us.

Once bristles start to fray, they don’t clean as effectively - which means plaque sticks around longer than it should. Swapping your toothbrush (or brush head) every 3 months can make a noticeable difference in your oral health.

Pro tip: If the bristles look worn before then, it’s time for a new one. 😉

🦷 Did you know? Your enamel can’t repair itself.

Tooth enamel is the hardest substance in the human body - but once it wears away, it’s gone for good. That’s why prevention matters more than ever.

Brushing gently with fluoride toothpaste, flossing daily, limiting sugary and acidic foods, and keeping up with regular dental visits all help protect the enamel you have.

Protect your enamel today to support a healthy smile for years to come. 💙

A healthy smile isn’t just about brushing quickly and moving on with your day.
It’s about building small, consistent habits that protect your teeth and gums for the long run.

A strong daily oral care routine should include:

✔️ Brushing thoroughly (especially at night)
✔️ Using fluoride toothpaste
✔️ Flossing daily
✔️ Staying hydrated
✔️ Limiting sugary and acidic foods
✔️ Regular dental checkups

Even teeth that look healthy can hide concerns beneath the surface - which is why routine matters more than perfection. Small changes today can make a big difference for your smile tomorrow.

Many kids feel nervous about going to the dentist - and we’re here to change that.
At Li Family Dental, we focus on gentle, patient care that helps children feel comfortable, understood, and even excited to visit. Parents often tell us their kids love coming to the dentist - and that’s exactly our goal.

We take our time, explain things in kid-friendly ways, support dental anxiety, and create a welcoming, fun environment from the moment they walk in.

New families are welcome to book an introductory consultation to meet Dr. Chris, tour the office, and get to know our team.

A positive dental experience starts early. 👉https://lifamilydental.ca/dental-services/general-dentistry/childrens-dentistry/

Eating corn on the cob can put unexpected strain on your teeth because of the hard, uneven surface you’re biting against. As you twist and bite to remove kernels, your teeth may be forced into awkward angles, increasing the risk of cracks — especially if you have fillings, crowns, or existing enamel wear.
