Yesterday, we got to do what we have been looking forward to. We got to look our volunteers in the eyes and say thank you. 🎉

The Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at Shepherd Village Inc. was a beautiful evening. Good food, great company, and a room full of people who give without ever asking for anything in return.

You don’t fully realize how much a volunteer changes a place until you imagine what it would be like without them. We don’t want to imagine that. 💛

This National Volunteer Week, we're shining a light on the incredible hearts behind Shepherd Village.

Our theme this year is Ignite Volunteerism and these four volunteers are living proof that the flame of service burns bright.

Who says you need to visit a farm when the farm comes to you?

Our seniors at Shepherd Village Lodge and Terrace got a very special visit today and the smiles said it all. 🥰

Pet therapy isn't just fun. It reduces stress, lifts moods and brings pure joy to everyday moments. We love finding new ways to bring happiness to our residents!

Good Friday is the most sacred day in our Christian faith, and at Shepherd Village, we hold it with the reverence it deserves. The Church in the Village is open, and you are warmly welcome to join us for our Good Friday service at 10 AM.

Dreams really do come true. ✨

We are so full of joy to introduce our very first Dreamer!

His dream is simple and beautiful. He wants to go to a car show. And because of YOUR nominations and the love of this incredible community, that dream is happening this July!

As a village, we look at him and say: Go and soak in every single moment. Every engine roar, every shining hood, every smile. You deserve this and so much more.

Innovation meets community! 💙

We were so excited to welcome Patti Kennedy, President of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 614, for a tour of our sensory room and to share the amazing things happening in our long-term care home.

Their generous funding toward our Nordic Sensei Chair has made a real difference in the quality of care we provide our seniors, especially those with dementia, and we are so grateful for their continued support.

Before the long weekend, we had the joy of gathering to celebrate the wedding anniversaries of our seniors who have been married for 60 years or more.

What an incredible milestone. More than six decades of shared memories, challenges, laughter and unwavering love. The room was filled with singing, smiles, and, of course, cake.

In this season of love, we honour and celebrate you. Thank you for showing us what lasting commitment truly looks like.
