Thank you Amana for sending this beautiful picture with your midwife Ani and allowing us to post it. Midwifery care is all about community, so we are always so happy and thankful when we get moments like this one captured.

Midwives begin care as early as the first trimester of a client's pregnancy and as late as the weeks preceding birth, depending on availability. Midwifery care includes visits with the client as the midwifery clinic, attendance at the labour and birth and postpartum home visits, as well as in clinic.

We graduated together in 1996, we still love this special life we chose, helping birthing families achieve their goals and step into the sacred parenting world! For us! Well, we love that!! It fits us, and that’s who and what we are and have become…and still what we love to talk about! Our own kids are partnered and having babies!! How the time flies. Thank you to all the families that let us in and trusted the process! We salute you!

Midwife Kay and her baby who just turned 25 yrs old on Dec 3 !!

Kay: “When I got pregnant with Zak I was so excited because I felt I finally could go on that trip that I’ve been helping other people go on and now I get to go too!! it’s been the best journey and the hardest journey I’ve ever been on and I’m so grateful for that little baby and now this wonderful young man! Still the best thing that’s ever happened to me….second best thing? …Was getting into Midwifery School!!”

I think it's safe for all of us to say that we are happy you went into those journeys.
