As we mark Black Maternal Health Week, it’s important to understand the challenges Black mothers still face in getting care & support, & that there is work to be done.

While we celebrate every birth at Kensington Midwives, we must also acknowledge that not every birthing person enters the healthcare system on a level playing field.

At Kensington Midwives, we believe that Reproductive Justice means every person has the right to a safe and supported birth experience. We are committed to dismantling systemic racism by providing individualized, culturally safe care and advocating for better data collection.
