Happy Saturday 💙
CARROTS⬇️🥕🥕🥕🥕
In the spirit of November, let's talk about the superstar, the almighty CARROT.🥕 Its loaded with eyesight-protecting vitamin A, no matter which color you choose. It's on the green light list and has so many health benefits.
I have created a list below ⬇️

🥕Keep eyesight sharp: Vitamin A protects ocular health.

🥕Strengthen the immune system: Vitamin A also helps cells grow.

🥕Promote regularity: The fiber fills you up and contributes to good digestion and absorption.

🥕Lower your risk of cancer: Beta-carotene may help prevent aging-associated health problems

With all of those big boosts in mind, here's what you need to know about cooking, eating, & choosing kinds of carrots.

How many carrots can I eat a day?
Carrots are a key source of beta-carotene, the plant-based precursor to vitamin A, making them a great food for protecting eyesight and eye health overall. Plus, you don't have to go crazy on portion size: Just one large carrot has more than double your daily value. A carrot a day keeps the eye doctor away

Should I peel them?
The peels contain about half of the antioxidants (known as phenolic compounds) in carrots, so you should try washing them thoroughly instead of peeling. However, if you're shredding carrots to eat later, removing the outer layer may help maintain color and increase shelf life.

How should I prepare them?
Boiling carrots may reduce their nutritional content, but freezing them will maintain them. Enjoy them raw, shredded in salads, in soups, in baking recipes, or in smoothies.

Have a super AMAZING day. Stay grateful for another day. Remember, is possible, one step at a time.

Happy Inspirational Thursday 🧡💥
Vegan Macaroni and Cheese ⬇️
Gluten free~ Dairy free~Fiber rich

🚨💥Anti-inflammatory Meal💥🚨

Gluten free and vegan macaroni and cheese is pure comfort food. Enjoy this classic recipe made without dairy.

Ingredients

8 ounces gluten free or brown rice elbow macaroni

¼ cup vegan buttery spread

2 tablespoons gluten free flour blend

⅛ teaspoon dry mustard

⅛ teaspoon sea salt

⅛ teaspoon pepper

1 cup non-dairy milk

8 ounces Daiya non-dairy shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

Cook gluten free/ brown rice macaroni until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain.

In a medium saucepan melt the buttery spread, then stir in the gluten free flour and the spices. Stir.

Slowly add in the dairy free milk.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils; reduce heat to a simmer, but keep stirring constantly.

Gradually stir in Daiya cheese. You will have to really whisk the cheese in so it melts and incorporates into the sauce. Daiya cheese melts nicely, but for the sauce to be smooth, you have to use a little bit of muscle.

Add elbow macaroni and stir to combine. Serve hot, season with more salt and pepper if desired.

I hope you enjoy this recipe, it's so delicious and satisfying, I know how hard it can be when you have a limited diet, but I promise this is a good one to try.

Anti-inflammatory Smoothie⬇️❤

Inflammation is the root cause of many health conditions, by consuming anti-inflammatory foods, it helps regulate your bodies level of inflammation.
Be sure to include anti-inflammatory foods everyday!
Just because it's not cherry season, doesn't mean you can't have cherries, just enjoy frozen varieties.

Chocolate Cherry Smoothie 🍒🥤🍫

✔1 scoop of vanilla plant based protein powder

CHERRIES⬇️

Cherries are not only sweet tasting, they are on the green light "allowed" list of foods high on the scale, they also have many health benefits:
Cherries contain a wide variety of unique antioxidants and phytochemicals to help balance , and support healthy joint function and promote healthy uric acid metabolism.
Cherries are rich in Vitamin C, A, potassium and fiber. They also contain melatonin, a substance that helps rejuvenate your sleep-wake cycle, so eating cherries or drinking pure cherry tart juice may help improve your sleep quality.

Happy WELLNESS Wednesday 💛
PERFUME & TOXICITY⬇️
Did you know that your perfume could be making you sick?😷
Part of my has been to take a closer look at anything that goes ON my skin as well as in my body.
This includes cosmetics, shampoos, conditioners, body washes, moisturizers, night creams, sunblock, & the list goes on....
I always noticed that perfume would cause me some type of reaction from itchy throat, cough, or something as simple as a sneeze.
What was going on? Was I too sensitive? Nooooo, not at all, In fact, looking back, you could say I am highly intuitive and started to listen to my body's messages.
Of the thousands of used in , most have not been tested for human toxicity.😷
And of those that have been tested in lab experiments, many fragrance ingredients have been associated with cancer & & other serious health effects.🥼🥽💨
Some fragrance enhancing chemicals, such as dimethyl phthalate, or are widely used in cosmetic fragrances to make the scent linger.
Phthalates- are common ingredients in cosmetics because they are cheap & versatile.
BUT..the European Commission on has listed DEP as a Category 1 priority substance, based on evidence that it interferes w/ hormone function.
have also been linked to early puberty in girls, reduced s***m count in men and reproductive defects in developing male fetuses when the mother is exposed.😷🙈☹
From an ecological perspective, several musk compounds are persistent in the environment & build up in the fatty tissue or aquatic organisms, measurable levels of synthetic musks are found in fish in the Great Lakes & the level in sediment is increasing.⬆️🐟

For ALL these reasons, ditch the perfume or cologne or atleast opt for organic & natural options.
I use micro batch perfume by , my favs are Vanilla & Indian Coconut Nectar.😁🙌 and I use essential oils.

Have a wonderful day. Remember to be grateful for another day. 🌞
Sending you love & light.💕🙏💫🥰

MRI & GADOLINIUM CONTRAST DETOX⬇️
Living with / means constant monitoring for disease management.
MRI's are used to look into the vessels and arteries, unfortunately, a dye contrast is needed to see if there are any narrowing, inflammation or aneurysms.
I had my annual MRI on Sunday, which required me to lay completely flat on a scanner bed for an hour with leads on my chest, a cage ( not sure what its called) it reminded me of hockey equipment that goes over your chest, you cant move to guarantee good pics and last not not least, the many many breath holds throughout the entire scan with automated instructions and LOUD noises that sound like I am in a laser and drumming concert , I dont know how else to describe it🤣🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
Well, I am so glad it's over, it's never a pleasant experience.😪
One practice I want to share with you to make the experience bearable is meditation and breathing techniques. This has helped me feel calmer and be able to hold my breaths longer.
The other is, detoxing after the test.
It's so important to flush out the gadolinium out of your body.
GADOLINIUM is a rare earth metal that is often used for contrast in MRI studies.
It is frequently found on the metal assay many years after studies, in spite of the fact that is is supposedly, leaves the body in hours.
Metal detoxification is so important.
Binders are important to help bind to the metals to remove them safely through elimination.

I'm a huge advocate for chronic illness warriors and how being proactive with your health is so important.
By being proactive you will start enjoying the benefits of living free of toxins such a reduced symptoms, more energy, medical freedom and more.

Have an AMAZING day, remember to be grateful for another day. 💕🙏🌻☀️❄🌈

💫"The body achieves what the mind believes."💫
Happy Recipe Saturday 🧡
GOLDEN MILK💛⬇️
Do you know what the magic active ingredient in turmeric is?
This unique earthy taste is bright orange- yellow and is the main ingredient in curry powder.
Turmeric is also known to have been used for centuries for its many health benefits.

🔸️Antiinflammatory
🔸️Antioxidant
🔸️Improves brain function
🔸️Strong Anticancer agent
🔸️Lowers risk of heart disease
🔸️Helps arthritis
🔸️Fights aging

Here is a recipe for golden milk:

GOLDEN MILK 💛🧡

🔸️2 cups unsweetened almond milk
🔸️1/2 tsp turmeric powder
🔸️1/4 tsp cinnamon powder or 1 cinnamon stick
🔸️1 inch piece of fresh ginger or 1/8 tsp powder
🔸️Pinch of black pepper
🔸️2 tsp pure maple syrup or raw honey

Directions:
Take a small saucepan. Pour the milk and the test of the ingredients and use a whisk to combine.
Warm on low heat until nearly boiling point, making sure you dont boil it.
Adjust taste.
**If you're using a cinnamon stick and fresh ginger, remove before serving.
I prefer using fresh as it doesn't leave sediment at the bottom, but both forms are fine.

Pour and enjoy warm.🧡

Always try to use organic ingredients.

Have a wonderful day, everyone, and remember to be grateful for another day.
