Funeral planning has developed quite the reputation. We’re here to set the record straight.
Funeral planning is NOT morbid. In fact, most who plan in advance feel relieved, a greater sense of peace and contentment from their actions.
Funeral planning is NOT traditional and dated. Instead, funeral planning has constantly been changing how we accept death and celebrate a life lived. It’s actually the Baby Boomer generation who has changed things up, in favor of personalization within traditional and non-traditional funeral choices.
Funeral planning is NOT a waste of time. In fact, planning in advance saves time, and drastically decreases stress and challenging decisions for survivors in the days after a death.

Noticed the connection between grief and laughter? It’s quite beautiful actually.
Humor can be used as a defense mechanism as well as a tool for coping with grief long after a loss. That’s not to say that the "usual" form of grief won't still happen: crying, feeling anger or frustration, or spending time in reflection.
“Laughing was an act of resistance, a way to keep the darkness at a workable distance, even if only for a moment.” - Emily Rapp Black

Has anyone noticed laughter unexpectedly in their grief?
