There’s a lot of misinformation out there, and it can stop people from getting the help they need. Here are a few common ones:

Myth 1
“Bladder leaks after having kids are normal.”
Common does not mean normal. Pelvic floor physio can help improve bladder control.

Myth 2
“Pelvic floor physio is only for postpartum women.”
Not true. It can help men, women, and children.

Myth 3
“If I have prolapse, I shouldn’t exercise.”
The right exercises can actually help support and manage symptoms.

Myth 4
“Pain with in*******se is normal.”
No. Pain is a sign something needs attention.

Myth 5
“I should push when I p*e to empty my bladder.”
Pushing can actually make things worse over time.

Myth 6
“Bedwetting is always just a phase.”
Sometimes, but not always. Support can help if it continues.

Myth 7
“Pelvic floor problems only happen to older people.”
We see it across all ages, from kids to athletes to new moms.

Myth 8
“There’s nothing I can do about bladder urgency.”
There is. Pelvic floor physio and bladder training can help. 🤍

You don’t have to live with these symptoms.

Bladder leaks in kids? You’re not alone, and there is help available 👀

If your child is over age 5 and still experiencing daytime or nighttime leaks, it’s more common than you might think. And more importantly, it’s something we can support.

There are many reasons this can happen, from overactive bladder to holding habits or coordination issues. That’s why a proper assessment matters.

With pediatric pelvic floor physiotherapy, we can use tools like real-time ultrasound and biofeedback to help kids actually see and understand how their muscles work. It makes the process more interactive, less intimidating, and easier to learn. 🤍

Treatment focuses on simple, practical strategies like bladder routines, exercises, and coordination training to help improve control and confidence.

Your child does not have to just “grow out of it.” Support is available.

Pelvic floor physiotherapy is not just for postpartum women 👀

It can help with so much more than people realize.

Things like bladder leaks, urgency, constipation, pelvic pain, pain with in*******se, and even low back, hip, or tailbone discomfort can all be connected to your pelvic floor.

It also supports pregnancy and postpartum recovery, athletes and runners, pediatric bladder concerns, and even recovery after prostate surgery.

The reality is, a lot of people deal with these symptoms quietly, thinking it’s normal or something they just have to live with.

You don’t. 🤍

Pelvic floor physio is about improving bladder, bowel, and pelvic health for people at all stages of life.

Did you know you can actually see your pelvic floor muscles working? 👀

In our Biofeedback Lab, we use real-time ultrasound and EMG biofeedback to show you what’s happening inside your body.

This helps you learn how to properly contract and relax your pelvic floor, instead of just guessing if you’re doing it right.

It’s commonly used for things like bladder leaks, pelvic organ prolapse, and even bedwetting. 💡

When you can see and understand your muscles, your treatment becomes way more effective.

Everyday tension is not always fixed with stretching alone 👀

If your neck feels constantly tight, your forearms are sore from typing, or your calves never seem to loosen up, dry needling might be the missing piece. 💭

Upper traps and neck tightness from long desk days can respond really well to targeted needling that helps the muscle reset.

Forearm muscles that are irritated from gripping, lifting, or repetitive strain can benefit from improved blood flow and reduced guarding. ✋

Deep glutes and hip muscles that contribute to low back discomfort often need more than foam rolling. Releasing those trigger points can change how your whole lower body moves.

And for runners or walkers, stubborn calf tightness can ease up when the muscle is treated directly and then properly reloaded. 🏃‍♂️

Dry needling is precise and purposeful. It is part of a bigger rehab plan, not a stand-alone quick fix.

When muscle tightness is not just “stress” 👀

Before you assume your stiff neck or tight shoulders are just from a busy week, consider this. It might be your nervous system asking for support.

Muscle tightness can show up with poor sleep, long hours in one position, old injuries that never fully settled, repetitive movement, or your body staying in alert mode for too long. Tightness is often protective. It is not a flaw. 🧠

Instead of stretching harder and harder, try slowing things down first. Slow breathing to settle your system. Gentle mobility instead of aggressive stretching. Strength work to give your muscles support. Manual therapy when needed. And most importantly, addressing the root cause instead of just chasing the symptom. 💪

Your body responds best when it feels safe. Muscle tension is communication. When we listen properly, we can improve movement, reduce discomfort, and build resilience over time.

You do not need to push through it. You need the right approach for your body.

Day one or day thirty — if you’re in pain, it’s worth getting assessed.

You don’t have to wait until it’s “bad enough.”

And you don’t have to push through it hoping it disappears.

Early pain? A physiotherapist can guide you on how to manage it properly and avoid setbacks.

Lingering pain? That’s usually your body asking for more than just rest.

Recurring pain? That’s a sign something hasn’t fully recovered.

Pain is information.

The sooner you understand it, the easier it is to address.

Pelvic floor symptoms can be confusing.
They don’t always feel the same for everyone, and they’re not always easy to talk about.

Here are a few signs your pelvic floor might be involved:
💥 Pain, tightness, or pressure in the pelvis, hips, or tailbone
💧 Leaking when you cough, sneeze, laugh, or exercise
❌ Pain with s*x or difficulty relaxing
🪨 A feeling of heaviness or incomplete emptying
😮‍💨 Symptoms that change with your breathing, posture, or stress

Pelvic floor issues are not always about weakness.
Sometimes the muscles are too tight.
Sometimes they are not coordinating well.
Sometimes they are working at the wrong time.

That’s why pelvic floor physiotherapy focuses on the full picture.
How you move, how you breathe, and how your body functions as a team.

If your symptoms have been lingering or just don’t quite make sense, you're not alone.
Support is available, and help can make a real difference.

Ever feel like your body’s carrying tension even when you’re trying to relax? 😮‍💨
That might be your sign it's time for massage therapy.

Here’s what to look out for:
😣 Persistent tightness in your neck, shoulders, back, or hips, even after rest
🪑 Soreness or stiffness, especially after sitting at a desk or working out
😬 Stress showing up as a clenched jaw, shallow breathing, or tight shoulders
🚫 Limited range of motion where movements feel heavier or more restricted
😴 General fatigue in your body, even if you're sleeping enough
⚡️ Feeling like your body is always on edge, even when you try to rest

Sound familiar? Your body could be asking for a reset. Massage therapy isn’t just about feeling good (although it definitely helps with that). It’s about helping your body move, function, and feel better long term.

Pelvic floor symptoms don’t usually show up overnight.
They build over time with stress, habits, pregnancy, injury, or just daily wear and tear.

And here’s the truth:
Kegels aren’t always the answer 🙅‍♀️
Some pelvic floors need to relax and coordinate before they’re ready to get strong 💪

Leaking, pressure, pain… they’re common, but they’re not something you have to live with 🚫
Tight doesn’t always mean strong.
Weak doesn’t always mean relaxed.
Context matters 🧠

Pelvic floor rehab isn’t about one magic move ✨
It’s about learning how your whole body works together 🤝

Ever heard of your pelvic floor but not totally sure what it actually does? 🤔
Spoiler: it's doing way more than you think.

🧠 It supports your bladder, bowel (and uterus, if you’ve got one)
💧 It helps you hold it in... and let it out when the time is right
🏋️‍♀️ It teams up with your core to keep you steady
💨 It moves with your breath to manage pressure when you lift, laugh, or cough
❤️ And yes—it plays a big role in s*xual comfort + sensation

Pretty impressive for a group of muscles we rarely talk about, right?
