Together, We Are Stronger
Compassion in Action Across the Primacare Community
At Primacare Living Solutions, our philosophy is simple but powerful.
People focused care creates stronger, kinder communities.
Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, residents, staff, families, and community partners across Primacare homes came together to support those affected through an incredible show of compassion and generosity.
Supporting Communities in Need
Through organization wide fundraising, raffles, and food initiatives, our homes collectively raised $445.85, along with two $1,500 Leaf ticket raffles, with proceeds directed toward disaster relief efforts through the Red Cross.
At the same time, Henley Place Long Term Care served as a logistics and coordination hub in partnership with the Jamaicans in London Association and the Jamaica Canadian Association (JCA).
Together this collaboration helped organize and ship:
25 large barrels
100+ packages of essential supplies
These donations were delivered directly to the Office of Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Management (ODPEM) in Jamaica and will support more than 172 affected communities.
A Message of Gratitude
In a letter to Henley Place, Omar Smith of the Jamaicans in London Association shared:
“By opening your doors and extending compassion, you became a valued partner in this humanitarian effort, enabling us to demonstrate meaningful care and solidarity with the Jamaican community during their time of great need.”
He also recognized the professionalism, kindness, and genuine care demonstrated by Primacare staff toward residents, visitors, volunteers, and community members.
