When you're trying to clean up your diet, eat a little bit better and maybe even lose some body fat, variety can be a progress killer.
Variety - especially in your meals - is just one more decision you have to make. One more barrier that can cause you to throw in the towel.
Keep it simple. Especially in the beginning.
Once you're in a good rhythm and have a solid handle on your nutrition, then absolutely add some flare into your meals.
Personally, I LOVE experimenting with new recipes, but I've also been at this game for a little longer than most.
And I still keep my diet SIMPLE for the most part, rotating through a handful of basic meals I enjoy.
So if you've been having a hard time being consistent with eating a bit better, try this...
1️⃣Choose 3-5 meals you enjoy, that are easy to make and fit goals right now.
2️⃣Then just rotate through them every day.
Variety is cool. But consistency is better - especially in the beginning.
