Weekly card -28th March
This week may not be full of fun and laughter, but it is an important step forward. That doesn’t mean it will be all bad, not at all! But there is something that you need to work through, because it’s sapping your energy and holding you back.
There may be some kind of sadness or sorrow that you’ve been trying to “get over” by blocking it out. Unfortunately, that doesn’t work. Whenever you let down your guard, the feeling comes back. Now is the time to allow those feelings to come out, and acknowledge whatever it is you’ve been avoiding. It feels like a heavy load, and you would like to be rid of it. The best thing you can do is to let any sadness or sorrow come to the surface, and really feel it. Cry if that helps, or if it’s a sad memory, allow yourself to remember and to feel the sadness. Is there someone that you could talk to about it, and feel safe with? It’s always good to be able to talk about what you’re feeling. Just don’t let anyone tell you that it’s time you got over it, or make any kind of judgement about it. Only you can decide that; the key here is to feel the pain, but not allow yourself to get lost in it.
It could be that something happened at work that left your feelings hurt or your ego bruised. If you’re applying for a job and haven’t been successful, it may be time to look in a different direction. If it’s something in your current job, you might like to consider a better approach to the work situation. Remember, your job is not your whole life, nor should it be! Finding a perspective that allows for both work and a personal life would go a long way to solving this challenge. Are you putting too much of your time and energy to work life, to the detriment of your personal life? This is the sign to address that situation, and start to rebalance things. Have you been given a very heavy workload, more than you feel is realistic? Or perhaps something that you’re not really experienced in doing and feel a bit lost in? Don’t be afraid to ask questions, or talk to your superior about splitting some of the workload with someone else. Keep in mind that after the pandemic, we are all a bit different than we were before, and many people have found that work is not their priority anymore. That’s not an easy thing for bosses to handle! Keep your attitude professional and neutral, don’t get angry, but stand your ground and explain that in order to do your best work, some of it needs to be shared. This is an adjustment for everyone!
In the relationship area, there is something going on, some kind of rough patch, at the moment. Perhaps your partner is the one who has been given a heavy workload, and needs your support right now. Try to find compassion for their situation, and be there to listen and comfort them when necessary. If it’s you who is struggling, try to tell them calmly and quietly what you’re dealing with, and ask if they can help you. The worst thing you can do right now is pretend that nothing is going on, or that everything is just great! Dealing with this now not only alleviates the suffering, it helps build a stronger bond between the two of you. If you are, on the other hand, looking for love, this just may not be the right time for you to fixate on it. How would it feel if you put it aside for the moment and carried on with your own life? Don’t lose heart, it doesn’t mean there is no one for you, or no hope for a relationship ahead. But trying to force it right now may not be in your own best interest. Spoil yourself, and most of all, take care of yourself and your own interests. When you feel ready, you can go looking for love again.
Financially, you may have been disappointed when something you were expecting didn’t quite work out. Try not to allow yourself to panic! Look at the situation honestly, and decide what to do next, rather than trying to address the entire situation all at once. Taking it step-by-step might be easier at the moment. Once you are looking at things honestly and have gained some ground, you can make a plan. Until then, take it day by day and step-by-step.
Finally, this is an important week for you to make sure you are taking care of your health. Do all those boring things that people told you as a kid; get lots of rest, keep yourself hydrated, eat healthy foods and get a bit of exercise every day. Something here indicates that you may be feeling overtired and without any energy. Take this time to put some effort into your own self-care. You will definitely feel better for it.
Try not to think of this as a sad week, nothing but work, or as some kind of failure. This is a rebalancing and getting rid of old stuff that isn’t helping you anymore, and is probably holding you back. Take this time to clear the decks and get a new and healthier balance in your life. There is so much lying ahead for you, it’s time to sweep out the old and prepare for the new!
