Youth Assisting Youth is dedicated to investing in the leaders of tomorrow and transforming the lives of at-risk and newcomer youth through the power of mentorship. For over 40 years, we’ve paired volunteer young adult mentors aged 16-29, with youth ages 6-15 to engage in activities aimed to develop mind, body, character, and leadership skills.

Half Ironman ✅ Youth mentor ✅ Community builder ✅ The journey continues! 💪

What a year 2023 was! From conquering my first Half Ironman (those hills though! 😅) to volunteering with amazing kids at Start2Finish's running & reading program.

The 6-hour race tested everything I had, but seeing my family along that course made every hill worth climbing. Nothing beats the feeling of finding your rhythm in the final run after a grueling swim and bike!

The best part? Taking these athletic lessons into my volunteer work with kids, showing them how movement creates strength in all areas of life.

Next up: Our May 4th, 2024 fundraiser for Don Mills CI! $150,000 to build an outdoor fitness area that will transform our community. Nervous? Yes. Ready for the challenge? ABSOLUTELY!

Movement creates change. On the race course. In young minds. In our community. One step at a time.
