I gently guide your body into yoga positions and then massage your muscles. You receive the benefits of a yoga class (I can help you move more deeply into poses if you wish) and the relaxation that comes with massage. Some postures are best given in a seated position but most are received lying on your front or back. You wear loose comfortable clothing and lie on a soft and supportive mat. I check in with you to make sure you are going just as far as you want in each pose and give you the depth of massage you prefer. A Thai Massage can be both relaxing and invigorating. Stiffness and pain can be eased and relieved. I also massage the energy lines on your body to help move blocked energy and open your body to a state of greater ease. Together these actions result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically. Watsu (Aquatic Massage) is a soothing therapy received in a warm, salt water pool. I gently move your body through a series of yoga-like stretches and massage techniques that are combined to resemble a graceful dance. Some moves involve gentle rocking and cradling you, while others are energetic and free flowing. I support your head so that your face is above water at all times. Your spine is freed and you discover that your breath expands. The support of the warm water enhances the ability of soft tissue to lengthen. Your nervous system relaxes and tension is reduced on a cellular level throughout the body. It is not uncommon in the soft, nurturing, watery environment for emotional releases to occur. There is a feeling of peace which goes beyond normal experiences.
