Social media is fun… until it starts affecting your relationship 💻❤️
Small things: a like, a follow, a comment, can spark overthinking.
Studies show 42% of couples experience jealousy triggered by social media.
It’s not always about reality, it’s about perception. Constant access can blur boundaries and make assumptions feel real.
Remember: offline communication still matters more than anything online. Talk. Listen. Connect.

Spring is your reminder that growth requires letting go.
In relationships, what we don’t address doesn’t disappear, it builds.
Therapy gives you the tools to communicate clearly, repair effectively, and reconnect intentionally.
🌿 You don’t have to carry it alone.

KKT’s @ Evgenia Bogdanova featured in The Toronto Metropolitan University 📰
As conversations around a “dating recession” grow, Evgenia shares an important perspective:
many young adults aren’t avoiding dating out of fear — they’re prioritizing financial stability and life pressures first.
But what happens when connection is delayed?
“...there could be some shame and insecurity around that later.”
At Kat Kova Therapy, we see how these pressures shape the way people show up in relationships—and how they feel about themselves in the process.
✨ If this resonates, save this for later or share it with someone navigating modern dating

There are things many couples think...but don’t always say out loud. 🗣️
Not because they don’t care.
But because they’re afraid of hurting each other.
Being misunderstood.
Or confirming their worst fear.
Silence doesn’t protect intimacy.
It slowly erodes it.
The couples who grow aren’t the ones who never struggle, they’re the ones who learn how to talk about what feels uncomfortable.
If this resonated, save it for your next honest conversation. 📌
Or share it with your partner as a starting point. 📤
Dating apps can open doors, but they can also quietly mess with our self-worth if we’re not careful. 🤳 💌
We unpack how to use dating apps more intentionally, without spiralling, burning out, or internalizing the algorithm.
Because dating should help you learn what fits, not make you feel smaller.

Join our Clinic Founder Kat Kova, RP, on February 21–22, 2026, for the ’s Advanced Practitioner Summit: Imago, EMDR, Trauma Healing & Applied S*xology—a live, online professional training created for clinicians who want deeper tools for working with trauma, attachment, and relational healing.
This two-day summit is designed to support therapists and helping professionals working with complex presentations such as relational rupture, sexual shame, desire disruption, emotional dysregulation, betrayal trauma, and long-standing attachment injuries. The training brings together expert educators to explore how approaches like Imago Relationship Therapy, EMDR-informed clinical work, and trauma healing frameworks can be integrated into modern practice in ways that are both practical and deeply attuned.
This event is especially valuable for clinicians who want to move beyond surface-level interventions and gain a clearer understanding of how trauma patterns show up in intimacy, conflict, emotional safety, and erotic connection—and how healing can be facilitated through structured, evidence-informed relational work.

Helping and healing in the heart of Greektown - Kat Kova Therapy opens on The Danforth!
Kat Kova Therapy opened in response to the growing need for more inclusive, affordable, trauma-informed help with relational issues, trauma and sexual concerns in the GTA. I, Kat, am a passionate therapist who devotes my spare time to continuing education and personal development. I am also now working on creating wide-reaching content on topics related to mental, emotional, relational and sexual health with the hope of helping others to survive, heal, find solutions to their problems and enrich their lives and relationships. My ultimate goal is to help people from all walks of life (who may or may not be able to access therapy due to structural, social, financial, geographical barriers) become empowered to cope and heal on their own.
Taking care of your mental, emotional, relational and sexual health is no longer considered to be a luxury, it’s an absolute necessity. Our own government is beginning to recognize this and offering more and more coverage for psychological services as a result (check with your insurance provider to see if you are partially or even fully covered for my services). They recognize that at one point or several points in a person’s life, they get stuck and need some help. You do not need to “tough it out” or “go it alone” when this happens. In fact, seeking professional help is the most effective and safest way to traverse the valleys of life so you can get to the peaks sooner and have a different perspective and more skill when you get there. You can relax, leave it to a professional to light the way and follow the path towards greater self-fulfillment, self-mastery and creating a life worth living.
As essential as it is to breathe to survive, so is tending to the gardens of our minds, hearts and souls to create a more livable, tolerable, enjoyable and perhaps even, dare I say it, phenomenal reality! The solution already exists and together we will be better equipped to find it using our own unique skill-sets and a relationship based on trust, openness and non-judgement as resources in our journey. And sometimes, a solution is not really what we need or can expect - we just need someone to witness and hold our story gently as we bravely find the words to describe our most personal, heartbreaking and shameful experiences - you will find this too in the right therapist’s office.
I look forward to honouring your story, helping you reclaim your inner strength, cultivate acceptance, celebrate your identity and improve the quality of your life and relationships (with yourself and others) in my charming office on The Danforth.
