Strong data is essential for funding and advocacy, but CHCs face barriers from inconsistent systems, challenges in tracking, privacy concerns and a hesitancy toward Western data practices. Our 2025 National Survey outlines these barriers CHCs are facing and provides recommendations. https://www.cachc.ca/projects/

CHCs work to meet people where they are, but barriers like transportation, literacy and language access still prevent many from seeking care. CHCs are working to close these gaps and deliver culturally sensitive and equity-driven care. https://www.cachc.ca/projects/

Our 2025 National Survey highlighted the difficulties CHCs have in navigating staffing shortages and funding limitations, which lead to staff burnout and gaps in access for clients who are already underserved populations. Read our survey report to see our recommendations to mitigate these ongoing issues: https://www.cachc.ca/projects/

CACHC conducted a national survey of CHCs to assess the current landscape and priorities of CHCs across Canada. Over 70 CHCs from 8 provinces participated. The survey informed a comprehensive analysis of Canadian CHC service delivery, workforce capacity, funding sources, and the evolving needs of CHCs. The report also offers policy and practice recommendations to strengthen the effectiveness and long-term sustainability of CHCs across Canada. This survey details the importance of CHCs and the vital role they play in the healthcare landscape, which needs further investment and guaranteed governmental support to thrive. The insights will guide our advocacy work, strengthen sector visibility, and help inform national priorities for CHCs
